Every week, the Entertainment Weekly magazine publishes a portion of the mail it receives in response to various prior articles. This edition contains a couple responses to an article on "Guilty Pleasures" in which various celebrities describe off-beat entertainment venues they find appealing. These letters are from readers who feel that some "Guilty Pleasures" have been missed...
One letter reads:
Buried Pleasures
I was amazed at how many of the Guilty Pleasures I could identify with. One I must add to the list - Clue, the movie. The hilarity of its outrageously talented comedic cast (including the late, great Madeline Kahn) and the biting one-liners that are so quotable to this day have withstood the test of time.

It is exciting to read that Clue, the movie, is still being cherished. One must wonder, however, of the coincidence that this letter appears just as another Jonathan Lynn movie, The Fighting Temptations, began showing in movie theaters. Hmmmmm....
An email sent by the author of this website to the letter writer went unanswered.
Jonathan Lynn, however, did respond to an email of praise:

Hi!
I just wanted to mention how pleased I was to notice that the movie Clue was mentioned in a letter to the editor of Entertainment weekly this week (October 3rd Edition)! I agree with the author... Clue is such a great movie.

Dear Michael
Thank you for your email. I would never have seen that letter, and I’m delighted to know that CLUE is still entertaining people twenty years after we made it. Go and see my latest, THE FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS, before it’s out of the movie theaters.
Best wishes
Jonathan Lynn
