Letter to all agencies, branch managers, and exhibitors specifying the use of these ad slicks for Sunday, December 8, 1985. Future ad slicks would have a revised headline and body text.

The various designs of these ad slicks were made to compensate for the different theater strategies. Each has different text depending on whether the market is showing only one, two or all three of the endings. Small text on each specifies where each ad should be used. The ads depict the Clue characters and the Was it/In the/With the... theme as seen on the movie poster. The main difference in the ads is the tag line. In markets with three endings playing, the ad reads, "A comedy with three different endings. Whodunit depends on where you see it." In markets showing two endings, the ads read, "Whodunit depends on where you see it." In markets showing only one ending, the ad simply reads, "Its not just a game anymore."
Each of these sheets measures approximately 16 by 20 inches. Six of them have clipped corners.
