Actress Kahn receiving cancer treatment
NEW YORK (AP) - Madeline Kahn said Thursday she's undergoing "aggressive treatment" for ovarian cancer.
"It is my hope that I might raise awareness of this awful disease and hasten the day that an effective test can be discovered to give women a fighting chance to catch this cancer in its earliest stage," the actress said in a statement.
Kahn, 57, said she's been battling the disease for a year.
She thanked her family and the cast and producers of The Cosby Show for their support. She plays neighbor Pauline on the show.
