One in a series of game themed greeting cards, this birthday card under the Carlton Cards label is vastly superior to the American Greetings version (though both companies are under the same corporation). This less-understated card features the game board's dining room with a cake sitting on it, bashed by the candlestick token. It presents a fun and whimsical scene.
The inside message reads, "Mrs. Peacock put out her candles in the dining room with the candlestick. Happy Birthday" The card and message work well because they push the boundaries yet cleverly retain the style and mood of the game. |
