|Travel Cluedo - 1997
The 1997 board game has been abbreviated for this delightful travel version of Cluedo. The tokens and playing pieces fit into the small squares throughout the board area - perfect for keeping pieces in place during bumpy travel. The board layout has changed slightly with fewer squares to move about upon. Some furniture artwork has been removed to fit the scaled down version of each room. Also, the dining room only has one door while the hall, lounge, and study have extra doors. Otherwise, the game plays as usual. The board is set into a hard plastic covering that folds in half enclosing all of the playing pieces. When closed, the case looks like a piece of luggage - complete with straps, handle, and customs tags.
An interesting note is that the weapon tokens differ slightly from the box cover as does the number of squares on the board. The reverse of the box also shows the room card as a bird's eye inside view whereas the actual card depicts an outside view. A price sticer reveals that the game originally sold for 7.95 GBP.
