Cluedo Magnetic Pocket Edition - 1993

Not much has changed in this Magnetic Pocket edition of Cluedo. The carrying case is handy in that it can close with a velcro clasp, and there are three “Spare Cards” for when Miss Scarlet and the Lounge fall beneath the driver's seat of the mini-van never to be found again. The only downside, really (aside from the minor fact that the candlestick and revolver weapons card appear to be printed upside down based on the logo on the back of the cards), is that the purple token representing Professor Plum looks black and the die is green instead of black as shown on the box. The box itself is solid without an opening to show the Cluedo logo on the board like previous editions. This makes it less prone to tearing. The back actually looks really good and very mysterious with the board shown fading into the background. Unfortunately, Waddingtons neglected to put any information on the box as to what the game is about. Instead, they list only the game's parts content. If one had never heard of Cluedo before (unlikely, but possible) there isn't too much about the box that would make them rush to the check-out counter.
