Back under the Waddingtons' label, this edition features the return of Dr. Black as the victim instead of "Mr. Black" of the 1983 edition. Other than that, the game is virtually identical to the 1983 Magnetic Edition with the exception of the box artwork. This cover is more in line with the full-size boardgame covers of the time using a picture of the board set up as if in the middle of a game. This offers a cleaner, more elegant feel, but lacks excitement that is needed to attract the child's eye. One interesting thing to note about this game is that the game shown on the front cover is of the full boardgame and features actual playing pieces and weapons instead of the tiny magnets used in this game.
