This Japanese version of the magnetic travel game immitates the design of the UK Magnetic Travel edition of 1983. The most notable change, of course,
is the language. The box, board, instructions, notepad and solution envelope all contain Japanese translations.
For some reason, however, the cards are only in English. The cards, themselves, have a lamination on them which seem to make
them more durable.
The game box is nearly identical to its UK counterpart. This edition falls under the Waddingtons game banner. Beneath the
Cluedo logo, in parenthesis is, "Same as CLUE" as if Clue were well known in Japan. The box art is the same, but also includes
some Japanese writing that forms the shape of a dagger on the cover. Unfortunately, it seems to just hang there
with no reasoning. The reverse side of the box shows game pieces only in English which, obviously, doesn't match
those in the game. The box also shows circular magnetic playing pieces whereas the actual game has colored circles
inside of a square playing piece. The Weapon tokens also do not exactly match the artwork used in the actual game.
