Thanks for the tip Azure! As soon as I read this, I went to Google to see what I could dig up... and boy, did I find something!

"Clue Mysteries Game - Prequel to the original Clue game using the suspects from the original game. This game features 50 cases to solve. 2-6 players are detectives and try to solve each case by questioning witnesses and decoding their statements. Using their detective toolkit consisting of a spyglass, secret mirror, and code-breaking key. The object is to be the first detective to solve the mystery by discovering which suspect committed the crime, and where he or she can be found. For ages 8 and up, May, $19.99. "

May - Two months away! :D
Green - "If he was such a patriotic American, why didn't he just report us to the authorities?"
Wadsworth - "He decided to put his information to good use and make a little money out of it. What can be more American than that?"

Oo! Sounds fab! Here's hoping it turns out to be good.

My only worry is that the description is very similar to "Mysteries of Old Peking" - I hope this isn't just a re-cover of that game (though MoOP is a great game).

Thanks for letting us know.

I just found a more detailed description at Hasbro's website:

CLUE® Mysteries Game (Ages 8 & up; 2-6 Players; Approximate Retail Price: $19.99; Available: May 2005)

Set in fictional Hampshire Village, this new addition to the CLUE game line engages players in 50 CLUE mysteries to solve. Each mystery equals a game and unveils another chapter in the CLUE story leading up to the death of Miles Meadow-Brook.

Players are equipped with a toolkit - a special reverse reader, a code breaking key and red reader magnifying glass – used to uncover the clues in the witness wheels at each location throughout the Village. Each location is occupied by one of the eight original suspects who offer the clues to solving the mystery - Professor Plum, Miss Scarlett, Inspector Brown, Mrs. White, Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Reverand Green and John Body.

Players move from location to location through a roll of the die. If they land on an regular game space, they pick up a card and follow the instructions. Once a player reaches one of the locations, he or she uses one of his or her tools to uncover the clue there.

The special reverse reader can only be used with Inspector Brown, who tips players off to any false clues. When players visit John Body, they use their code breaking key to uncover where the culprit is hiding. All other suspects offer clues, which can be uncovered with the red reader magnifying glass. Once a player collects all eight clues and identifies the culprit from the six suspects introduced in the CLUE FX game – Rusty, Miss Peach, Lord [G]ray, Mrs. Meadow-Brook, Price Azure and Lady Lavender – the mystery is solved and the player wins the game.

but im worried about one thing is that theres 50 cases, what happens when you solve them all? is it like case# 5 a culprit will alway do it or 50 different cases which has different culprits like the first time i play case # 5 and mr green did it, and i play it again, will mr green always be the #5 culprit or a new culprit every cases

That description makes it seem like aprequal to Clue FX, since FX is already a prequal to the standard edition.

I wonder if they'll use the current style of artwork. I hope so.

> but im worried...

Yes, I think it will always be the same. As I say, it sounds like Mysteries of Old Peking - and that was always the same.

> Matbey every month...

That would be cool!

> ... better look at lord grey!

I thought the same when I read it (ditto for Lady Lavender etc.) Fingers crossed!
