What movie scene is too brutal for you to watch?

That is one of the rare instances where I'm glad Hollywood strays from the book because it's even more horrifying in the book: There, Annie CHOPS the guy's ankles off.
Also, in the newest Indiana Jones movie, I don't think I'll be able to re-watch the scene where one of the soviet guys gets eaten alive by ants. After that scene, I gave my popcorn back to my dad and said, "I'm not hungry."

We just watched Terminator 2 in film class. The two really gruesome parts:
SPOILERS!
1) The T-1000 slicing the foster dad's head open with his hand, which he morphed into a knife.
2) The forementioned terminator killing the janitor guy.

I was watching something on SciFi (i don't remember what, because I only watched that clip) and I saw someone takes a small steak knife and saw someone's head off... from the back of the neck! It was creepy!

I recently saw The Shawshank Redemption. It's a beautifully made movie...if you're able to get past the first half. Nearly every scene in the first half-hour of the movie is BRUTAL to watch (especially the 'fresh fish' scene--if you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about). Once you get past the worst of it, though, it's actually a great movie.

Watching Jurassic Park in film class. I've never seen it before, and some scenes, thrilling as they are, are really disturbingly brutal. Yet I don't want to look up the plot and remove the thriller element while increasing resistance to brutality.

*Sigh* You can't win 'em all...

Yeah, especially with the creepy Dilophosaurus that shoots oil/tar all over that guy!

That was actually poisonous liquid that killed him... I think. I was surprised at the laughs that scene received from the people who had the movie memorized. It shocked me.

I found it quite humorous when the really cowardly guy gets eaten by the T-Rex while hiding on the toilet. I feel so sorry for the kids who are in the car.

I don't think that little Grade 4 kids who have a sudden obsession with dinosaurs would appreciate that part.

the classic "Here's Johnny!" bathroom scene from The Shining is not necessarily brutal, but it does make me think "Jeez, that lady's gotta get out of that bathroom!"

A lot of scenes in Grindhouse: Planet Terror were pretty gut-wrenching.

Especially the scene where a rather hapless man get his balls sliced off with a cutter that appears to be specially made for this sort of job.

The leader of the pack then proceeds to roll one of the balls on the ground with his foot and squish it a little.
