My new Top 3, Bottom 3 List:

Please leave comments on my choices. I love debates. :D

Top 3 Scarlets:

CLUE VCR game:
Image

Scarlet works best when she is a intellegent spy. her motive to kill Boddy is smarter, and it gives a sense of ruthlessness to her. In the VCR she can play intellegence and a suductress at the same time. Plus making her Asian not only gives a sense of diversity, but it raises more questions about her giving a sense of mystery. She is just too funny here as well.

Cluedo Passport to Murder:
Image

This Scarlet not only feels dangerous, but she has a classy air about her. She looks like snake right before it strikes....with a coat of pleasence around her. Plus I dig that pose.

Clue 1992:

Image

I had trouble choosing between her or Master Detective ( I have a thing about Asian Scarlets). Both are excellent but she is just prettier here. I had a crush on this card for a while. She looks flamboyant and seductive. She is one of the more beautiful Scarlets, however I miss the cigarette filter from CMD Scarlet.

Bottom 3 Scarlets:

Franklin Mint Scarlet,
Image

I agree with Michael on this one, she DOES look like a prostitute! She would look better with black hair and her body is bordering on the line of annorexia and boob implants. Her face doesn't work either.

Clue 1986:
Image

This one is no good, no good at all. She looks like she is needing an orgy so bad from the look on her face. It turns me off.I bet she would take on Mustard, Plum, Green and Boddy at the same time to release her sexual frustration. She almost looks like a spoilt queen, and would even have a little girl on girl with White to be daring.

Clue FX:

Image

I admit I used to think she was pretty, very pretty, and she is. She is bordering on the line of comical caracature. People had made comments on her getting plastic surgery and that turns me off. Now when I look at her, I see a ditzy airhead biatch daughter of Peacock who sleeps with old men, and wouldn't think about killing Boddy.

--------------------------------------------------------

Top 3 Mustards:

1986:
Image

Ahhhhhh, this is the classic Mustard look. He is old, but not too old. Mustard doesn't work when he too old except maybe CMD or 1992. The monocle, yellow shirt and look on his face really envisions how I usually picture this guy.

Cluedo 2000:
Image

I love the idea of making Mustard very young. He looks likes a German Nazi, and to me, a Nazi Mustard is certainly here for trouble! He is also very handsome to boot. Past that blond, blue-eyed, Aryan look is bottled up brutality.

Cluedo Super Slueth
Image

This guy looks like a real dashing ladies man and it really shows. His dark eyes and bushy mustache give him the British look that I like. He gets the job done properly and efficiently even if he does make a few blunders to give himself way.

Bottom 3 Mustards:

French Cluedo 1950's:
Image

This Mustard is terrible! He looks like a bad Plum! The nerdy horn-rimmed glasses don't fit at all. He looks far, far, far too small and polite to be our beloved Colonel.

Clue FX:
Image

This Mustard is rather boring for me. I never liked the handlebar moustache, and he is frankly too old. He is behind the times as it is.

Simpsons Clue:

Image

What? Col.Mustard the Clown? How dumb. This Mustard is a little too krusty for my liking.

---------------------------------------------

Top 3 Whites:

German Super Cluedo:
Image

This White is terrific. She looks not too old and very cunning. She looks evil, pleasant, and egmatic at the same time. One of the best Mrs. Whites!

Clue 1992:

Image

She looks kind and grandmotherly enough, but to me she seems almost very sarcastic in the way she talks. Her eyes look sinister enough and she is probably very critical of everyone behind their backs.

Clue 1972:

Image

yes I know, this is the Spanish Mrs. White(Green), but lets look at the photo. She is scared, and trying to run away, almost like a worried animal. She knows she is going to be found out, she has been caught red-handed with that candlabra.

Bottom 3 Whites:

German Cluedo 1950's:
Image
This god-awful Mrs. White doesn't need an explaination on why she is bad, watch out for that chin there!!

Cluedo 1996:
Image

I guess we just found MR. White. He is overly scared because we discovered that that white "dutch-boy" hair really is just a wig. Maybe the lead pipe is hidden under it.

Swiss Cluedo:
Image

I don't know weither to hate it or like it. All I know is those are the creepiest set of teeth I have ever seen.

MORE TO COME.

The only characters I really ever got into were Scarlet, White and Peacock. I like Col. Mustard, though Green and Plum never interested me very much.

And, by far, I think the 1996 set are the best. Especially for Scarlet and White. Mrs. Peacock is equaled only by her 1992 counterpart.

I also think Col. Mustard looks great. As unflattering as his appearance may be, it was quite common among elderly well-established gentlemen from the turn of the century, all the way into the 30s. As far as Green and Plum... I never got into them enough to care too much... but they look good enough! LoL
Was it Miss Scarlet with the Candlestick in the Ballroom? Yes... yes it was.

LoL! I actually think the 1992 Scarlet is good too. She would probably come right after 1996 Scarlet on my list.

Yeah. That's what I'd like to know. I think she's gorgous. AND... this woman that works at a local cafe by my school, who is an Asian-Latina mix, looks JUST like her!!! I swear, everytime I go in there, it feels like I'm being served by a Clue character. I almost want to take her picture.

CONTINUED.....

Top 3 Greens:

Cluedo 2000:
Image

Well this is bar-none the best Rev. Green in my opinion. For one thing, he he's not too old and wrinkled (yes, age can be a problem in my book) and his glance and pose is both soleum and dignified. Just an amazing picture.

Cluedo: Murder at Blackwell Grange:
Image

Okay, for one thing, I don't picture this guy a reverend, he such a Mister. So let's just ignore the picture's title of Reverend. This guy looks so deadly and so American looking. This guy seems like he is a man for the ladies and is probably smooth with words but deep down a cad and short on money.

Franklin Mint:
Image

Same Reasons as the CD ROM Green, this guy is slick, brutal and probably deals in a shady buisness, such a guy you would find in a mystery.

Bottom 3 Greens:

Clue FX:
Image

This one really irritates me. He oviously is having the same body-build program as Colonel Mustard as they both have the same build in this edition. Intresting to make green larger than ever, but it just looks plain underwhelming.

Clue 1996:
Image

oh Good Lord, this guy might of been good if he didn't have that bald spot. I hate how his hair(what's left of it) sticks out like that, it looks like my dad's hair! (only my dad's hair is more gray, and he sure isn't a murderer) Poor poor drawing of Green, ecpecially since it was done by the same artist who drew one of my favourite Greens.

German Cluedo 1950's
Image

This guy looks so brain dead. I can almost hear his clumsy feet tromping in the Hall.

-----------------------------------------------------

Top 3 Peacocks:

Clue 1992:
Image

This Mrs. Peacock was simply brilliant. Just by looking at her you could believe that she is quite the flamboyant socialite. I dig the look of her as well with that terrific hairdo and dress.

Clue VCR:
Image

Mrs. Peacock in this version was one the best. She was so delightfully evil and psychotic. I loved her outfits in this game too, expecially her peacock feathered hat. I'm pretty sure she was quite pretty back in her hay day. Betty Lee Bouge did good with this role.

Cluedo 2000:
Image

Once again, Mrs. Peacock is excellently portrayed. She looks quite refined and dignifed, and yet has a cold murderous stare in her eye. I love the jewelry she wears as well. I can also beleive that she is the bird specialist that the Super German Cluedo one makes her out to be.

Bottom 3 Peacocks:

Franklin Mint:
Image

The only thing I like about this picture is the peacock. That aside, this is a very poor Mrs. Peacock portrayal. For one thing she is far, FAR too young. I can't even believe that she is a Missus. Her face is too plain and too innocent. Her hair style is hidious, and her dress too virgin. To quote Nightshade:

U-G-L-Y, You ain't got no alibi! Hey UGLY! OH OH HEY UGLY!!!!!!!!

Clue 1983:
Image

This awful Mrs. Peacock is too plain, boring and stuffy.

Clue 2002:
Image

She is supposed to be Scarlet's mom? They look the same age. oh yes, let's associate her with the plastic surgery story again. That's what makes this Peacock bad. As others pointed out, the turban and short red hair don't work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Top 3 Plums:

Super German Cluedo:
Image

This is the ultimate Plum. He is so intellegent looking with that book and glasses. He's young and handsome too. He's a looker!

Clue 1972:
Image

Well there is one thing to say about this Plum: PERVERT!!!! :P

This one is awsome with the smug look he has!!

Franlin Mint:
Image

Now this Plum is very intresting indeed. He looks kind and good-hearted, but perhaps there is more to him than we know. That skull in his hand brings up questions:

Bottom 3 Plums:

German Cluedo 1993:
Image

Thig guy looks like Jay Beeskow's idea of Mr. Green only he is forwning with glasses. Oh yes, I forgot about his purple get up.

Clue FX:
Image

Another Plum wrecked by his hair. It's looks either like a chunk of orange polished wood or a rooster. Aside from that fact I do like his expression, but I HATE the cubic look.

Cluedo 1949:
Image

I hate the look of the unkept old man hair, he looks too innocent and senile. I would hate to be the one to have to change his dipers.

I enjoy your analysis of each card, Cluedokid, and I agree on some of them.

But in my defense, it is not all Asian Scarlet's that I don't like. The only two I don't like are two of your favorites: CMD and 1992. She looks too old in both of those and honestly, not that pretty.

Best Boards:

1st Best:

Master Detective.
Image

It looks so cozy and I bet there is so much to do. The Gazebo is terrific and I would love to live in it.

2nd best:

2000
Image

It's very creepy with the lights like that, plus it's quite elegant. Plus I like the fireplaces in almost all the rooms. The two pianos are a plus.

Worst Boards:

1st Worst:
1986:
Image

It looks so bland with the plastic furnitures. The lounge is in a sore need of a few chesterfields.

2nd Worst:

Image

This mansion is OKAY, but it is wrecked by the disgustingly boring and bland Lounge and Study. Even our living Room is more elegantly decorated than Boddy's lounge.

Best Additional Character:

Insp. Klein, German Super Cluedo
Image

This guy looks like Alfred Hitchcock in a few ways. He is so mysterious looking and I bet it is the killer no matter what.

Worst Additional Character:

Prince Azure, Clue DVD/FX:
Image

This guy looks so stupid and cheesy with his irritating smug smile and horribly fake body. This guy could of been a good character if he looked right, maybe if he lost the beard, gained some hair, and had a serious look on his face. He could of been good. Oh yes, dumping the cubic look deffinatly would of helped.

Lady Lavender in Clue Mysteries is even worse.

Ok, here are my top 3

Scarlet, obviously
Image

1996 - the absolute best. So beautiful and seductive, yet you can tell that there is something beneath those smoky eyes

VCR - beautiful, alluring, and mysterious. The best of the Asian Scarlet series, and one of my favorites from the VCR game

2002 - Alluring with a little bit more history added to her.

Mustard

Image

1986 - Middle aged, but still handsome and perfectly capable of murder

1949 - Young and handsome, the perfect gentleman

1996 - not like my other mustards, but there is something about him that makes him more mysterious than the other older Mustards. Perhaps his smirk.

White

Image

Simpsons - Who doesn't love Mr. Smithers as Mrs. White? Priceless

1996 - Cheery old maid, but is it just an act to cover her hatred for her boss?

1992 - No need to hide it, this White CLEARLY hates her boss

Green

Image

Franklin Mint - The perfect Green card. Too bad he costs so much to get!

1963 - I love him. I can see him being so totally bored with the rest of the guests running around trying to solve the murder

2002 - I like this version of a Reverand Green. There is something peaceful about him.

Peacock

Image

VCR - another of my favorites, she was so deliciously evil, definately a black widow

1996 - Beautiful, yet cold and distant. I like her fur and veil, adds to her societal rank and her mystery

1992 - finally brought Peacock back into the upper class. I applaud her.

Plum

Image

1996 - Young but clearly a dorky professor. The askew glasses just add to it.

2002 - Less "absent minded," more thoughtful interpretation. I like it.

1976 - I don't really like him, but I think that he works well and is my favorite from the 1976 group.

Worsts...

Wow, I've just realized I've never really participated in this so I'll start off with everyone's favorite lady in red...

These are my favorites:
Image

1996 Clue-This was my first Scarlet. She's beautiful, yet she knows a secret and could be dangerous.

Image

2000 Cluedo-This is the classiest Scarlet, she has an air of sophiscance but she could also commit murder.

Image

2002 Clue-I don't care what everyone says, this Scarlet is one of the most beautiful Scarlets ever.

THE WORST:

Image

1963 Clue-This card is just stupid, it looks like she has spaghetti for hair, she resembles a clown what with all the makeup and someone forgot to draw in her nose.
Oh, it's England. Croquet on the lawn, tea in silver teapots, sherry before dinner. One simply has to maintain one's standards!

Onwards, men, to that dashing and gallant Colonel Mustard!

Image

2000 Cluedo-This is an perfect epitome of Colonel Mustard, he's handsome with a steely gaze, he looks like he could keep a level head in any crisis from the battlefield to fainting women after discoveries of corpses.

Image

1949 Clue-This is also a good example of what I envisage the Colonel, aging but still handsome, he looks like both a good soldier and a friend.
Tie between 3rd best Colonel:

Image

1992 Clue- I could see him a retired Colonel who's a good companion and ready to solve a mystery!

AND

Image

Murder at Boddy Mansion- Definitely gallant and brave, this retired Colonel has faced many many years of war, and is ready to show off his many medals. (Sorry for the blurry picture, it was the only one of I could find)

TIE BETWEEN THE WORST COLONEL:

Image

Franklin Mint- This colonel looks like he's blind, retarded and dead all at the same time

Image

1963 Clue- C'mon! The artists must have been high when they drew the suspects! And since when does colonels wear blush?
Oh, it's England. Croquet on the lawn, tea in silver teapots, sherry before dinner. One simply has to maintain one's standards!
