Escape the Titanic! Game III

'Escape the Titanic!' was originally hosted by CluedoKid on the Titanic-Story forums back in 2007. It was a very exciting RPG, and there was even a sequel - but when the forum crashed, they were both lost, Game 2 left unfinished. But then, a while ago, I thought I should do the game again! As I'm certain there are a few Titanic fans here, I thought we should try the idea out.
Anyway, the only real rule of the game is: at least be a little realistic where necessary. More will be explained as we go along. Anyway, to those playing, have fun!

Southampton, England - Wednesday, April 10th 1912

There she is! The RMS Titanic , the most modern ocean liner of the day, standing tall in the bright sunlight, topped by four gigantic smokestacks - and wait til you see the luxurious interiors! - is about to set sail for New York!
It's just gone half past 11 in the morning, and 203 1st Class passengers are disembarking from the train, arriving at the docks. It's a good day for the unsinkable liner. All we can say now is: ALL ABOARRRRD!

A short while later, Charles is in his 2nd Class cabin, unpacking his belongings. Though not quite as exquisite as 1st Class, he notes that the facilities are as good as.

Betty Lou walks aboard and into her 1st class cabin, in which she has used a big chunk of her money for. "It's exquisite," she says to herself. She is almost on her way to a new life in America, where her career will hopefully come to a new start.

While the other passengers are loading, Samantha Murray is lugging her tiny suitcase through traffic.

"I cannot miss this boat. I spent my whole life's savings for a second class room. I cannot stay in under my mother's watchful eye," Samantha mumbles under her breathe. She has been running for 5 minutes because a friend was only able to drop her off a few blocks away. She is clearly out of breathe.

"There it is!"

Samantha darts through the crowd and boards.

Charles decides to rest on his bunk until the time the ship casts off. As he is just nodding off, there's a loud knock at the door.

Charles: Ah... who..?

He opens the door.

Charles: *gasp!* You!

Mr. Boddy: Yes. Me. Say hello, world... to Xavier Boddy!!! MUA HA HA HA! AH HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA!

Charles: But... but... how? I saw you die!!!

Mr. Boddy: You should know by now; it takes more than some darn rock to kill a legend, babby.

Miss Harrison leaves her cabin to go to the on-board French bistro. She is about to be seated when she sees a woman of about her age. She runs over.

HARRISON: Agatha! You're traveling to America too!

AGATHA PEACOCK: Betty Lou! Why are you traveling?

HARRISON: I'm hoping my career will be better in America. And you?

MRS. PEACOCK: I'm looking for a new husband to take back to England.

HARRISON: Well, I'm going to stay in America and hopefully get a husband too!

MRS. PEACOCK: Come, sit with me!

She sits down.

MRS. PEACOCK: What a pleasant surprise!

They continue chatting. Then the waiter comes over to their table.

PIERRE THE WAITER: What would you like, ma'dams?

MRS. PEACOCK: I would like the...

Their lunch is perfect and goes accordingly to plan.

Samantha is having difficulty finding her room. The ship is chaos with second class passengers trying to get into their rooms and a few trying to make it to the dining hall. She stops to catch her breathe and a porter taps her on her shoulder.

"Need any help madam?"
"Yes please. I'm trying to find my room. It's room - Wait where did I put that?"
"Come with me madam. We will find out. Mr. Green has the passenger list. Or is that Mr. Boddy. We shall find them and find your room."

Samantha and the porter walk over to the dining room to search for Mr. Green.

The old, retired British general Horatio Rollins slowly stepped onto the ship. He had been on boats before, but nothing quite as grand as this. He just stood there for a moment, hunched over and leaning on his walking stick, to take in the sight.

A man bumped into him from behind him. "Sir, could you move, please?"

"Oh, of course," Horatio said, stepping aside. "How silly of me."

As he continued to look on, he pulled out his own first-class ticket, leaning on his walking stick. "Let's see... where is my cabin?" He had had a friend of his, who was also travelling on the Titanic to America, carry his luggage to his room, since he could barely lift his. He knew his luggage would be there - now it was just a matter of getting there himself. He slowly walked off in the direction of what he assumed were the first-class cabins.

Charles is still confronted by Mr. Boddy.

Charles: I don't know, I do my best to cross the world, and I still manage to bump into you! Have you done this deliberately?

Boddy just grins, but he is swept away by the crowds going around the ship. Charles closes the door to his cabin.

Charles: What a nightmare. Perhaps it's all a hallucination..?

After her lunch with Mrs. Peacock, Miss Harrison decides to go into the library with Mrs. Peacock.

Harrison: So many books! Aha! A book about the presidents of the United States! I better read up about the place I'll be living in, right Agatha?

Peacock: Sure, I suppose so.

She slumps down in a chair and sighs.

Harrison: Agatha, are you all right?

Peacock: Oh, yes, I'm fine dear. I'm just sad that in a few moments this ship will set sail, and I'll be leaving my country.

Harrison frowns and comforts Mrs. Peacock.

Samantha and porter comb through the dining room for thirty minutes.

"Oh, dear. I wonder where Mr. Green is," Samantha said.
"Hmm this is strange. Let's go to his room."

The porter and Samantha walk to Mr. Green's room in silence.

"I believe this is it."

The porter knocks on the door and a short and stout man answers.

"Good Day. How may I help you?"
"Well this young lady has misplaced her ticket and does not know her room number. Can you help?"
"Oh. I'm sorry, I don't have the list. But she can stay in my room in the mean time. I don't intend to sleep here."

Samantha feels uncomfortable with this situation. She may have bought a second class ticket, but she didn't go to finishing school for this. But what choice did she have?

"Okay. I will try to find my ticket as soon as I can. I don't want to be a bother."
"Oh no bother," Mr. Green says with a wink. "I'm make this trip rather enjoyable for you my dear."

12:00 pm.

Suddenly, the RMS Titanic's horn blows! And the ship begins to steam away from the dock, accompanied by the applause of the crowd!

People on the Boat Deck: GOODBYE!!!!!! GOODBYE!!!!!!!! GOODBYE!!!!!!!
Charles: Well, no going back now.

Suddenly, a few people gasp - a little boat called the New York breaks free of its mooring, and veers forward. It's going to crash into the ship!!!

Charles: Oh... oh dear!!!

An on-board officer comes into the library and alerts everybody of the near collision.

Officer: You may hear word that we have ran into another ship. No worries, the ship just had a near collision.

Mrs. Peacock stands up.

Peacock: My God, it's an omen!

Harrison: Of what?

Peacock: The ship. Something bad's going to happen.

Harrison: Oh don't be silly. Nothing will happen. They claim it's unsinkable.

Peacock: All right...

And then, several tow ships pull the New York away from the Titanic. The ship being safe, she begins her journey to her next stop, Cherbourg in France.

Charlie is in his cabin.

Charles: (thinking) But... if Boddy is also aboard... it means all the others are as well! Hmm...

He goes straight to the Purser's office to check this out.

Charles: Hello, Purser!? Can you check to see if Ms. Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Mr. Boddy are all aboard this ship?

He pauses as the Purser checks for him...

Samantha is meanwhile trying to block Mr. Green's advances.

"Oh please, sir. Do you know of a female I can stay with until I get myself into order."

"But my dear, they don't have rooms like this."

*Knock*

"Don't you want to answer that?"
"Whoever it is will go away. Now where were we."

"Mr. Green... your presence is requested. Are you there?" states the man whom knocked.
"Yes he is," Samantha yells back with a grin.
"Why did you do that my dear," Green whispers. "Just a second."

Mr. Green walks over to the door and sees Colonel Mustard at the door.
"Oh, it must be urgent. We will be back my dear."
