Do we know whether Uncle Marty had ever visited Harper's Island before the wedding? It can't possibly make less difference if he had or not, other than to satisfy my curiosity.

If he did, what would be the significance?

As I say, there's no significance. It just occurred to me to wonder if Maggie and Marty might have already known each other. I had this whole reunion scene in my mind, and he teases her and flatters her and ... Well, anyway, I was just wondering if there had been any reference to such an earlier visit.

What happens now that we are down to the final two?

Maggie v Marty

Does just one person decide or do we take a vote or something? Or do we decide that one is the killer and the other is the hero, survivor etc?

EDIT

Just saw Cluedos post, good minds think alike! lol

Ok so this is my vote:

MURDERER: Maggie Krell

SURVIVOR: Marty Dunn

I think its more interesting and exciting that way!! Maggie could have been a woman scorned by Marty in the past and taking revenge, maybe she went crazy with the rage and saw the island as her own and therefore happy to kill anyone on it. Marty is an ex-cop so thats how he manages to survive for so long and eventually kill Maggie. Maybe he took Malcolm under his wing and thats how Malcolm survived so long too....

I also reckon that Marty and Katherine get close and thats how she makes it so far too...

Hm, I like that Red Ribbon. I may work that for the finale if that's how the voting results.

This game was really fun. I've sent in my vote. Though, I seemed to have failed at trying to keep Lucy and Beth in.

AND THE MURDERER IS......

SUMMER 1965...

Two kids were playing down the by the quiet inlet where the birds peacefully whistled. One was a boy with longish hair down to his shoulders wearing a tight white T-shirt. The other was a tomboyish girl with a cute mop of curly hair.

"Gosh Mags, it sucks havin' to leave the island so soon," Lil' Marty whined, "Now I havfta go pack n everything."

"Don't worry Marty," Maggie replied, "I already packed for you."

"Great, thanks," Marty sulked, "Now I really have to leave! Jesus..."

"Don't be sad Marty," Maggie reassured, "You'll be back next year. Don't you have one of your jokes before you go? I love them so much."

Marty was about to tell a good one, but then he heard the booming voice of his father. He hated his old man. Never let him do anything. Harper's Island was the one place where he could let loose...

PRESENT DAY 2009

Two adults faced each other on the high cliff bluffs of Harper's Island. The island was always a quiet getaway...but more so quiet than ever. Nearby lay the body of Malcolm Ross...chopped to pieces.

"So, you've got your nephew too." Marty said in the most serious tone, his hand shaking for a cigar. He was about to light it, but then he remembered he snuck it from Wellington's coat. Out of respect for the dead, he pocketed it, "Y'know, I had a nephew too. Loved him like a son. Now I have neither a nephew nor a son. He was going to get married and give me a grandnephew. Heh, guess I won't be seeing that either."

"Remember what we were going to name our son?" Maggie replied, smilingly knowingly.

"A son?" Marty declared letting a quick high-pitched chirp, "Heh! Ha! You...you just killed everybody! Oh sure Mags, we'd pick off where we left off when were were...what....ten!?"

"Oh Marty, I thought you knew me better," Maggie shrugged, "I always took care of everything and made sure things went according to plan. We wanted to get married and live in that pretty Candlewick Hall which I had to make into a profitable Inn for finance sake. But Marty, why? Day in, day out I'd sit in my little office after a day of entertaining my latest patronages and sit by the window hoping you'd come back."

"Well I came back," Marty replied, nodding.

His eyes studied her figure.

"Well I see you strayed from the path and tried to start a family. I know I had to erase your nephew during the Rehersal, and later I took care of that bride of his, but that wasn't part of our plan, was it Marty?"

"How did you rig that chandelier to strike Henry?" Marty growled, "Tell me..."

"I bribed Rev. Fain."

"I....knew it!" Marty exclaimed, "I never trusted that old fart."

"Oh Marty, if only I knew you'd stray...if only," Maggie sighed, "I saw from the doorway watching you dance with that blonde hussy. It was simple to throw her off that bridge. I knew that would stifle that wavering eye of yours, I knew you won't do that again."

"Of course not dear," Marty answered, playing her game. His hand moved towards his jacket, "What about Malcolm. Why did you kill your nephew?"

"Oh yes," Maggie answered, "Poor Malcolm. He always listened to my dieting tips. But you we're very silly trying to invest in his brewery. There's no need for that sort of frivolousness, yes?"

"Quite right Mags," Marty answered deeply, lifting a brow.

"Oh yes, I almost forgot," Maggie continued, "Remember those scones I baked for you back on the day you arrived? There was an extra ingredient...what was her name again...Madison something..."

That's when Marty pulls out his gun....and fires!

BANG!

3 DAYS LATER...

Marty Dunn stayed on the island to sort everything out with the authorities. Usually, Marty detested "the man" always cracking down on his fun, but now he was more co-operative. However, the news was grim...

...Maggie's body was never found, despite having seemingly fell off the bluffs when he fired his gun.

When Marty went to depart Harper's Island for the last time, he found an empty speedboat, presumptively belonging to that mysterious dark man who seemed to hover about for a while. No doubt, he was murdered too.

As he sped away in the waters, he noticed something strange. His leather tan bag was inside the boat. Neatly placed inside was his tasty pills, 250,000$ in cash he brought for Malcolm, his trusty gun....and a handful of freshly baked scones.

Yes, Maggie thought of everything. She always did.

Uncle Marty survives Harper's Island.
