Naming inanimate objects

Post by Niteshade007 »

So, I'm pretty sure we've all named something that is just an object of ours. At least I know many people who have. So what are some of the things you've named?

My iPod is red, so I call it Ginger. I want to get a new one (the iPod classic that has 32 GB) and I'm deciding whether to name it Fred (so they'll be Fred and Ginger) or Mary Ann (so they'll be Mary Ann and Ginger, god, I wish I wasn't so witty).

I did not name my car, but my friends affectionately call it "the soccer mom." It's a Corolla, but I have to remind people to lock their doors, so for some reason that makes it a soccer mom type of car. I like it, it works for me.

I used to call my old MP3 player Mike Peterson the 3rd, get it? :lol:
A part of me wonders if I should name my new laptop (my other one died and went to laptop Heaven :cry: ).

I used to have nothing to do and named my highlighters.

Yellow = Bob
Blue = James
Orange = Percy
Pink = Eddie

Don't ask... ;)

Was it Miss Scarlet with the Candlestick in the Ballroom? Yes... yes it was.

Does naming one's manhood count?

By the way, I thought I might as well share this: One of my sisters used to name her bruises... :shock: (She played sports often.)
