Labor Day Weekend Plans

Post by Michael »

Our company just decided to let us have Friday off. So it's a four day weekend for me! WooHoo! But I don't know what to do.

Anybody have any interesting plans?

I'm going to WI. My mom is visiting her friend and I'm staying with my dad and brothers at my aunts house (she won't be there, thank god)

I always bring up a couple Clue games when I'm away for more than two days (LOL)

I'm bringing

Does "moving" to another country count? Even though I would be moving this weekend no matter what.

It's only temporary. I'm "moving" from the US to Prague for about four months for research and internship. That is if the internship doesn't fall through. I have to go to orientation the 31st. It would have been the last weekend in August no matter if it's part of Labor Day weekend/

Mt friends are taking a school trip to NYC to see South Pacific, Gypsy, and In the Heights. I'd hate them, but they're getting me Patti's autograph and some programs, so I can't complain.

What am I doing? I'm working. That means running a cash register, catering to bitchy customers who think they're SOOOOO above me, and wishing them sudden, painful deaths.

Can you tell I haven't had a day off in a while?

I've procrastinated with all my summer work, so I have to spend all of Labor Day Weekend finishing that before school starts.

Day one of my wonderful four day weekend has been spent patching cracks in the plaster of my "clue" room which we're turning into a home office this weekend. I'll post a picture when we're finished. (maybe...)

I might as well do the depressing and (ugh) start shopping for back-to-sc*ool clothes. :(

Well, believe it or not, having hundreds of games "displayed" in a small room looks terrible and cluttered. So I'm going to try and stash them all away inside cabinets and maybe display one or two. I think it'll be a lot more livable.

Me, I have to work all weekend. No busses on Monday, either. Grand.

Call me spoiled, but I have never, nor will I ever take a public city bus anywhere! Customers at work will ask me questions about the bus schedule on a daily basis and I know I look at them like they have two heads....Ah the luxury of the monthly car payment!

Apparently we are having a bar-b-cue/cookout this weekend, because I invited some (cute) strangers we met at a local bar to the house...Granted I was f*cked up at the time.

I'm bored most of the time. Sometimes I like to take a stroll about or either read a book.

If any of you know where Rock River WI is, thats what we'll be on.........

Then we are going to look at a house that was my aunt's but now is for sale...
