I've spent my March Break on a retreat, and now I'm back. I just love experiences like that.

Last day of March Break. Didn't do too much, but enough that it was enjoyable. Of course, I left all my homework til today... Let's hope I can finish Lord of the Flies.

Don't bother. That book was awful. I truly despised that one.

Heck of a read. I was really entertained. Depressing end, though.

I got back from Shutter Island- it's all I expected and more! I just loved it. Scorsese brilliantly instilled fear with such simple things- let me put it this way: never before have I seen the lighting of a match as terrifying as it was here. DiCaprio was just awesome, and he needed to be for the movie to work. Maybe it isn't a masterpiece on the same tier as GoodFellas, but it deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence. I definitely enjoyed myself.

I just figured out what political party I think I am- Libertarian Democrat. And of course, I just HAVE to choose the one that will never win an election. FML

Dustin Hoffman's portrayal as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman is INCREDIBLE.

Tonight was the debut of my *unsinkable* performance of "My Heart Will Go On," performed on piano and vocals. I entertained in-front of an audience of about sixty or seventy guests in full out drag. I was a true Celine Dion double, complete with make-up, a rather realistic blonde wig and a flowing white evening gown. Girls start telling you that you are more beautiful than they are. It's pretty flattering.

The event theme was a Broadway: Love Songs, and I knew little in the way of Broadway songs, but that particular love song was one I did know very well. My appearance may have seemed fragile and feminine, until the audience got a whooping load of my deep, deep bass.

No, really though, my voice is pretty deep; lower than most boys. My appearance doesn't reflect the voice at all, and I envisioned a total mind warp for the audience hearing this booming voice blast out of an otherwise girlish swan. :)

No, I do not have any pictures of the performance...yet. I know a friend or two has taken photos and one even video recorded, but they've yet to upload. I do have the one picture of myself, out of costume, standing in the art studio of the Arts & Letters Club. The Club has a rich history, having been founded by the famous Group of Seven, so they've undoubtedly worked up in this very studio back at the turn of the century.

I'm disappointed that the full performance wasn't captured. At the end, I bowed and the wig flung off. Then the MC chucked a life-jacket at me as I ran off stage.

By the way everyone, don't forget to turn off any excess lighting tonight from 8:30 to 9:30 as it's Earth Hour. :)

Kosher labelling in stores (and I mean mainstream stores, not in the odd Kosher Deli as those were closed today due to Sabbath) is a bit, well...flawed (to put it nicely). What I would like to know is, why the h*ll would you sell leavened products for a holiday where you don't eat leavened products? It's like selling hamburgers in India!

I've been going out a lot more lately, trying to be more sociable and all, and today, I saw Green Zone. That's one h*ll of a thriller!
