cacums is having MAJOR anxiety that won't reach a resolution until Wednesday (March 24th).

I humbly ask for happy, positive vibes. I will fill ya'll in post-Wednesday. I'm just under a lot of WTF stupid stress right now and I need as much prayers, affirmations, positive energy as possible. <3

I'll explain soon, but in the mean time. Cross those fingers on my behalf. <3

Some of you I know on FaceBook are aware of the situation. if you are curious, PM me. But I WILL make it public on the 24-25th depending on what happens.

Alright, fellas.

I got in trouble at work on Friday and was facing the chance of losing the job I've had for 6 years. I made a chair out of trash cardboard. Cardboard that gets thrown out nightly. But it's still considered company property.

I had my hearing today and barely got my job back.

What have I learned: Don't be creative at work. They don't pay you to be cute. I am not paid to sit down. I am not paid to make a chair.

What am I gonna do: Be invisible for the rest of my career. Keep my nose clean. Quiet Mr. Ellie.

Thanks for all ya'll who reached out and endured me on FB over the weekend

That's bizarre! I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you went through.
Were they having issues with the cardboard, or was it just the time it took to make the chair?

I've worked as a cleaning lady and saw with disdain what got thrown away - for about two years I worked on and off at a computer company (still not sure what they did) and they had these really expensive laptop trolleys - that were thrown out as soon as a user who lost his job, they wouldn't even allow us to salvage them after they'd been thrown away.

"We don't pay you to sit down."
"We don't pay you to make things."
"Until it is in the trashcan, it is considered company property."
"Don't do stuff on company time."

They had been having a lot of issues with vandelism. Another guy was in there for "drawing on freight". (he was caught scribbling over racist ****) and got in trouble for crossing it out in stead of "telling the proper people to have it scribbled out."

A bit excessive. Setting a precedent you have to follow through, now matter how big or small is one thing. But to suspend someone for 3-4 days for drawing on a package... yeah that other dude better have not gotten in trouble. **** I shoulda got his number and found out.

I know jobs are scarce today but that doesn't sound like a healthy work environment...

Yeah, that sounds excessive - really sorry to hear about your experiences, cacums.

At my work we are currently doing a program which involves up-cycling of waste materials, mostly e-waste at the moment, but it is sad to see that you are basically punished for reusing what would otherwise be thrown out.

I know you have a deviant art account, I would actually recommend using sta.sh

Thing is, when I go through a lot of the old threads here, I noticed a lot of older art tends to have been deleted from the hosting site. DeviantART doesn’t do that

The image URLs are long and a bit unwieldy, but it’s reliable

Does anyone remember that British guy who tried to pass himself off as a New Yorker?

That's the one. I never did understand why he so adamantly painted himself into a corner. Maybe I never will.

But you know... Michael could've just banned him and left it at that. And yet he didn't. I wonder why.

I remember a deleted user threatened Michael, saying that "he sent some guys to rough him up" or something like that...

Is that same guy you're talking about WarnerPlum?
