Instead of just posting your answer, please vote for which of the five guests who you've concluded must be the actress, then we can see how people did for solving this.Sherlock Holmes wrote:General Smithers invited five people to his country house for dinner.
They were Forest, Giles, Handy, Jackson and King. Their vocations were that of Doctor, Actress, Lawyer, Banker and Writer. During the meal, General Smithers dropped dead from poisoning.
The poison had been slipped into his meal by one of the guests. When I was called to the scene I was given the following information:
Jackson arrived last, the doctor having arrived just ahead of her.
The writer and the actress both arrived ahead of Giles. The lawyer arrived third, just ahead of King. Forest had seen the actress slip the poison into Smithers' meal.
Can you deduce the name of the actress?

Here's one from a Sunday newspaper feature called "Baker Street Puzzle" that ran on Sunday, January 12, 2020 in the New York Daily News. See if you can solve it.
I little reminder: it was a while ago, but the original post did say:
I already "fixed" your quoted response to try and hide who you said.
