By the way, for the "Dinosaur" theme, is there an outright ban on Barney the Dinosaur and his ilk?

My brother doesn’t like Barney. He’s not scared, just doesn’t like it.

I think next year’s theme will be Hot Wheels, since he’s developing a love for kids, but we’ll see in the future.

Barney is "scary" from the disgusting, cloying, sappiness standpoint.

One should definitely run screaming from anything Barney-related if one wishes to stay sane.

I can imagine some little kids could find even Barney scary, or at least creepy, in the same way a lot of puppets and costumes can be 'scary' of off-putting.
