The worst films you've seen

So the original thread was locked so I decided to make a new one for anyone interested.

What is the worst film you have seen in your lifetime?

For me there:
- Disney's Chicken Litte
- Wreck It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet
- The 1974 version of And Then There Were None

Let's see if I can name 10:

1 - UNITED 93; I could really kill my college tutor this one. It was a film about one of the planes during 9/11 - The film was okay but the timing was God-awful because the next day, most of us were going on a college trip to Budapest and it was my first time on an airplane

2 - SLUMDOG MILLIONNAIRE; Again, this was another film I had to watch during college, it was just so boring, and a lot of the bits I felt were done more for shock value than anything else. It didn't help matters when I was called a racist for hating the film

3 - MUPPETS THE MOVIE (2011); I love the muppets, grew up with them as a kid so I thought I'd see the new one, nothing better to do, and... it just didn't feel the same, jokes weren't funny, I didn't think it would be a musical (more fool me) but that's what happens when Disney buys IPs

4 - QUANTUM OF SOLACE; The Craig Bond movies almost killed my love for the franchise, I didn't even see Spectre or No Time To Die at cinemas but don't get me wrong, I like Daniel Craig but not as Bond. I see him and I think of Benoit Blanc - But this Bond movie has too many jump cuts, shaky camera, half of the time it is difficult to make out what's happening and the characters are forgettable

5 - THE KARATE KID (2010); A friend loaned me this one, while I do like the original trilogy, the spin-off one with the girl was okay, and I enjoy a good Jackie Chan movie; I couldn't get into this movie, it felt vastly weaker to the original and I don't think Jayden Smith is a good actor, forever living in his Dad's shadow

6 - DEATH ON THE NILE (2020); Love to know what you guys think on this one because this one kind of hurt me. The Ustinov and Suchet versions were fantastic, the only good thing about the new version is Poirot himself; WAY TOO MANY CHANGES from the original adaptation and with the 3rd movie coming out, the ending to this one feels completely pointless. This one hurts me because Death on the Nile is one of my favorite Poirots, it's what got me into murder mysteries and we had to wait 2 more years just for the film to come out

7 - JOKER (2019); I didn't watch this all the way through, I just found this one a little hard to watch and also never been a fan or Origin Story movies

8 - THE GREAT GATSBY; I had it on while I was in the States and there was nothing else to watch or do, I expect the book is better since Toby Mcgurie isn't in the book

9 - THIS IS THE END; A stoner comedy with Seth Rogan, need I say more - I wanted to watch something at the cinema and I got desperate, I don't even remember much of this one

10 - FANTASTIC BEASTS 1 - I'm a Harry Potter fan, watched all of the movies at the cinema - on my Mom's birthday, we saw this movie and even though she liked it, I couldn't get into it. The best part of the movie was Jacob. Newt and the other characters I couldn't care about. For a movie all about the fantastic beasts, I think only about 1/3 or 1/4 of the movie was about the creatures - too many side stories that killed it for me. However, if this was the 2nd movie (the first movie being all about Newt, learning his craft, his last year at Hogwarts) I might have enjoyed it a little more

I have not the 2020 version of Death on the Nile fully, but from what I have seen... I don't like it. It looks very cheap and the changes/additions make very little sense (to me).

I feel like the main problem with the Kenneth Branagh's Poirot films is that they want them to be more of an action series than a mystery. When I think of Christie, I don't think of Poirot kicking asses.

I did enjoy Murder on the Orient Express but Death on the Nile was a big disappointment - I just hope A Haunting in Venice will hold up

Bad question to ask to a TIm Curry fan

The worst film I've seen from start to finish may be What Dreams May Come. Only reason why I watched it in full because it would be a waste of my ticket afterwards.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Golden Films and GoodTimes Entertainment

Probably one of the worst adaptations of the original Hunchback story out there


They spend more time on the talking instruments than on Quasimodo. Also they made Quasimodo handsome at the end... not joking.

Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and China all have their own versions of High School Musical! Fun fact, there was even a whole reality show to cast all the main characters of the Mexican version.

Ghostbusters II

I don't think this is one of the worst films ever made, but it is nearly bottom of the barrel to me personally. It's really the plot for me: how did everyone in New York, the most populated dense cities in the US of A, forget that a series of paranormal/supernatural events where happening all over the city which included a GIANT MARSHMALLOW MAN attacking the city!

Still slightly more enjoyable than the 2016 remake...

Well, if you consider that the worst film of all time, you really haven't had a good look at numerous films perhaps look at stuff that was made in smaller countries...

I wouldn't even know what the worst film was I've ever seen. Maybe 4 Dogs Playing Poker, maybe Doomrunners, maybe the Wickerman remake... but when you look at the production levels on it and see what has been going on in Dutch film-making - not even the worst American film I ever saw could beat the awfulness of De Zeemeerman.
