Game

Post by Lord Caspen »

CluedoKid,

From the moment you mentioned this game, I've been excited about it. Your work is turning out to be really impressive and fun.

Though I admire your artwork, I think the far more important and impressive angle is your tenacity to see this through.

Of course, the biggest test will involve playing the game, getting into the story. I can hardly wait.

Thank you for your kind comments guys. The Trophy Room and Conservatory are now completed and have been inserted into the game.

As a treat, I will show you guys one of my favourite creations, the Fountain.

Great! By the way, what are the character sprites meant to be in the style of?

None particularly. I did like the cartoonish, midget effect I got with them. I wanted to give the sprites a playful look; reminiscent of a playing pawn.

Amazing. I love the how the fountain's made of two inter-wining snakes, it gives off a very sinister feel underneath the showiness of it. Very good. And Peacock is lovely. Great homage to the Master Detective card of her.

There's no way my lego mysteries could compare to your art work. Amazing work CluedoKid.

Mrs. Peacock's adorable. I'm in love with her.

Fountain

Post by Lord Caspen »

I love the twining serpents in the fountain. It's also cool that the place is nice, but a bit unkempt. There is a kind of ferocious virility to it, wildeness, which I like. I especially love the inset of the character talking.

I think it's kind of cool that Mrs. Peacock is smirking, but doesn't it seem awfully pronounced?

It's a facial tic.

I love your artwork, as always. I must admit, I did like your original Cloak Room a bit more. The creepy mansion seemed like a good idea, but the elegant look you have created for the newer version is beautiful as well.

The serpents would creep me out, but I have a snake phobia.

Ah

I thought that might be it. The tic, I mean.

Yes, it's an intentional tic. You see, the facial speech is animated, and that tic is just one of the few frames for Mrs. Peacock's talking animation.

I'm just curious, will all the suspects be based/similar to the original MD cards? So far Mustard and Peacock are. I just want to know what to expect for the others.

Oh yes. I may take a few creative liberties here and there, but they all will have an MD essence.

Oh, and I have another set of good news. Rather than taking music off the internet, a friend of mine is willing to compose some personally made game music for the game. This means the game will now have an original score. He's already presented me with some sound files in his testing stage. So far, it sounds brilliant.

Will it be Mr. or Reverend Green?
