Was it like this?

Hey guys, I found this episode of Dance Moms, with the video, called, "Get A Clue", which was made in 2015.

Kalani Hilliker - Ms. Scarlet
Maddie Ziegler - Ms. Mustard
Mackenzie Ziegler - Ms. White
Nia Sioux - Ms. Green

DISCLAIMER: I don't really watch reality TV-shows, I just like finding Clue music-videos.

Yeah, all the reskinned "special" versions are s**t (apart from the Simpsons), the Orchid editions s**t - Pre 2006 was when Clue was good - Hasbro NEEDS to come onto this forum

I remember the good old days when a lot of us said Discover the Secrets was God Awful - Hasbro was like "Hold My Beer" turning Cluedo into a Car parked on a steep slope with the handbrake off. Only going down hill and heading for disaster

Not to mention that most of interesting Cluedo products, mostly books are EUROPEAN EXCLUSIVE.

And why is Hasbro using Sorry! pieces?

Speak of which I better start work on that English translation for that French graphic novel made back in 2012

In regards to modern Hasbro, there is one point that interests me - namely, the Marmalade app. Because I remember, as all the editions were releasing, we were on board for that vast majority of them. Granted, no one was really into the cruise ship one, and the halloween set was pretty much just silliness, but aside from that? Even if they aren't ones we would necessarily buy, we enjoyed seeing the characters and locations be revealed.

Marmalade games is a subsidiary of Hasbro, sure, but I find it worth noting that the modern Clue addition we were most excited about was made by a whole different branch. The comics too, though we ended up disappointed, you could tell they were more inspired. You have to have promise to be let down, y'know? The new board games though, they just limped out and fell over. Guess I just didn't care.

Clue is not trendy, and that's at odds with what Hasbro wants. The instagram-face cast of the 2016 edition is just wrong. With killing off White and all these funky editions and all, you know Hasbro is trying to be flashy and exciting for them there young folks nowadays, but it's not modern. And that kind of okay.

You can't turn a daisy into a rose. You just need to let it blossom.

Here's how I see Hasbro's current treatment of Clue; Playing it safe

Around the 1990s, went Hasbro brought Parker Brothers and Waddingtons, they produced a lot of Clue products.

- TV Game shows
- Books
- Video Games
- Puzzle series
- A collectors edition with 5k gold pieces
- 50th anniversary edition

Most of this, from what I can see, was generally well liked with fans (us).

The 2000s was an interesting time. This is when Hasbro developed actual lore to the Clue universe. This had a mixed reaction among fans, but was still well liked by most.

Then the late 2000s/early 2010s is what I considered a "Dark Age of Clue"

Discover the Secrets was an attempt to modernized Clue, which failed pretty bad.

In 2011, a five-part miniseries was made with an interesting story that went nowhere (better than Riverdale)

A game was released based off the miniseries, which made no sense.
===================================================================

With the 2016 edition, Hasbro can keep the classic format of Clue while doing something new.
