Cool, where did you find these?

Plum on what I assume is the prototype for the card is better than the actual one, but it looks bad on the box because he is holding a cup.

Wow! :o

Plum looks like Reverend Green from the jigsaw puzzles.
Oh, it's England. Croquet on the lawn, tea in silver teapots, sherry before dinner. One simply has to maintain one's standards!

The characters are all basedon the jigsaw puzzles, aren't they? But they switched Green and Plum.

I really like that sketch for Scarlet.

Yeah, they are but I was surprised to see them switching Plum and Green.

I wonder if the original paintings still exist? Now that's something to add to a collection...

According to Drew's official website, the paintings for the cards are for sale for a mere $4,500.

I think Plum looks like Kenneth from 30 Rock.

Cool. I wonder if the Box Cover is for sale? That would be worth buying.

Plum looks a little flamey. I prefer him holding a book instead of a tea cup anyway. There's no need for two people to be holding tea cups. I like the fact that Peacock and Mustard seem a bit larger in the concept.
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

And I thought the most expensive Clue item was Franklin Mint Clue

You know, if I had the money, I'd buy those only if the paintings of the suspects didn't trail off

Very interesting. I like Miss Scarlet's concept sketch.

I contacted the artist several months ago about buying the box artwork, and I think he's selling it for around $6,000.

I really want to buy the suspect images, but I'm worried that I'll be kicking myself for it later.

Was it Miss Scarlet with the Candlestick in the Ballroom? Yes... yes it was.

I don't like teacup Plum, and the obviously over-sexed Scarlett. And the images and box I don't think are worth quite that high amount. I suppose I might buy Peacock at a stretch, but...

That's definitely the vibe I'm getting. I can see how Hasbro would make him change that. Can you imagine parents' reactions?

It looks like the box cover art was sold anyway. I would love to have gotten that! But it's a bit too expensive for my blood... Not to mention the fact that this is my least favorite edition. I can't imagine spending that kind of cash for artwork I didn't really like to begin with.
