Hello!

Post by Harlequin »

I'm Jay, and I've been a fan of Cluedo ever since I received the 2000 (which I think is the most beautiful) edition. Sure, I'm a newbie to it compared to most of you (probably), but I always check eBay for the sweetest deals.

I think that the Clue 1992 and the Cluedo 2000 are the best examples of the game, but does anyone else agree?

So, um... hi.

PS I'm on the fence right now about the Reinvention, but I hated the cubic look before.

Welcome Harlequin (which happens to be one of my favorite colors)
  • I think Super Cluedo (despite it's goofs and inconsistencies) is the best edition, and since it was based off Cluedo 2000, then yes, I do. :)

Clue 1992 is probably third on my list. I like the 1996/97 version second (it was my first). It just seems that some of the rooms in 1992 could of had... 'more'. The Study: probably my favorite Study; the Conservatory: probably my favorite. But the Lounge, Ballroom, and Library should have had more furniture...

cacums, are you sure your not mixed up with 1996 Clue. That was the mansion that was in desprate need of more! The 1992 mansion was great! I'd want to live in it.

Yes, 1992 is actually my favourite standard edition in terms of it's artistic elegance. 1972 makes a close second. I love the photographs of the suspects, weapons and room closeups.

I agree though, 2000 Cluedo is a really beautiful edition.

No, I'm not, I just found the furniture rather small and bare in some rooms...

The library needs an armchair in a corner...

Well jeez, don't get me started on the 1996 Library. One big table, two uncomfortable looking chairs, bookcases and a rather dull fireplace.

If you ask me, that Library could use more work than the 1992 Library anyday.

I never said it didn't need work, I'm just saying the 1992 only needs one thing to perfect it, the 1996 need an entire room makeover...

If someone can kindly scan a picture of the 1992 Library and I'll show you what I'd add...

Thanks you two, for the welcome, I mean. This forum seems a lot more friendly than some I've seen in the past. Hopefully, this isn't like Doctor Black's facade before he starts blackmailing his poor victims, one of whom bumped him off!...

But I'm rambling on here.

Sorry, my scanner isn't working right now, so no scans!

I'll see if I can make it any bigger without making it all pixelly.

Harley Quinn rocks. I always play as her in Free Play mode on Lego Batman for the Wii.

Thanks, everyone!

BTW, PeachFreak, I think that out of the expanded edition suspects, Miss Peach is my favourite female, because you only really have Peach, Rose, Meadow-Brook and Lavender to choose from, and Rose is too crazy, Meadow-Brook is too Peacock-like for my liking, and Lavender should not be a Lady if she's just a herbalist.
