I've gone for a simpler look for the board - sort of a combination of the original and the '72 boards, with the floor patterns being lifted from Super Sleuth.

I don't know though - I may end up going back and putting in a few furnishings to spruce it up a bit.

By the way, if anyone spots any errors, could they let me know before I start getting them printed?

I also want to store it in one of those boxes shaped like a book, a la the Bookshelf Editions, but I'm not sure if any of the stores have them in the right size.

They're not shipping to the UK. They've suspended trade with us since the war began.

I like the board! I think giving it a very faint color tint, maybe a sepia or brown or summat, would help it look a bit more harmonious. Simple works very well here :3

Agreed, you can't have poison, without Dr. Orchid. 8)
I also agree she should be added if you've made from for the Poison. Might I suggest the Hall/Study starting space ;) It is the second easiest starting space after Peacock.

You did amazing on the board! Furniture is up to you. I'm loving the 1972 vibe it has right now.

Well I was basing it more on the 50th/LGE format. I mean I could do it, but I'd have to find another pawn that matches the others that I have. Unless I bought another set of pawns to compensate...

I agree with Warner, if Poison is a weapon then Dr. Orchid isn't needed especially after you consider how many official games feature poison without Dr. Orchid being on the scene

Dude, Dr. Madeline Orchid is a plant-toxicologist, which means that she specializes in poisonous plants!

She's a plant specialist and if she used a plant poison then she's a moron (I know the poison isn't necessarily from a plant) but if there was a 7th "Suspect" - Why not have Dr. Black & something like the Murder At Sea Game - That way, you don't need to make a 7th starting location

I said stick to your guns and go against popular opinion if that’s where your heart takes you. This is WarnerPlums board game, not a boardgame ad populum. Deviation from the norm is the only way to innovate

You're right. I'll stick to just the extra weapon, and maybe if I go on to a major project I'll add more characters and stuff.

Isn't there a starting spot, that none of the suspects use on the board?

I am curious what your interpretation of other suspects would be in the style - if you ever want to do you could always just draw them for fun and not include them in the game. Again, no pressure, but you don’t need to put something in a big project for it to be worth drawing

I was thinking the one between Hall/Study since it is 6 moves to enter. The Kitchen/Dining Room one is the smallest with 5.
I think 6 is acceptable since Peacock is only 7

The idea I had was that at the start of the game, you'd shuffle the 7 suspect cards and draw one face up - that is the person who has been murdered. With the other suspects, you place them all on their starting spots, if Dr. Black isn't the victim, he starts on the victim's starting spot & their turn order.

EXAMPLE - Reverend Green has been murdered, Dr. Black starts on Green's spot - the turn order for this game is Scarlet - Mustard - White - Black - Peacock - Plum

Since you put it like that, yes, I suppose I could.
