To be clear, it’s not more immersive in any major way, just a landscape orientation with more artwork. The big draw with these games is the ability to play locally with a group of friends and keep your notes hidden. And on a large screen TV. See this review:

Marmalade Game Studio has resently released The Game of Life 2. Maybe Clue might be getting the same treatment down the line

I'm assuming that's an interesting typo, or do you resent / feel indignant that The Game of Life got a new version before Clue(do)?

I did a little experiment with the Marmalade game. I played solo with a full set of six players, all AI set on Easy. My goal was to solve the murder before any of them did without entering a single room to make a single suggestion. And I succeeded, I solved the case in 9 turns without making a single suggestion.

Well, it’s happened before. They did (what seems to be) a one-off called The Game of Life: Vacations. Seeing as they just released Monopoly and a new version of Life in less than a year, and they generally commit to creating 10 unique themes for each game, it may be at least a year before we see them even consider another Cluedo (which requires SO much more artwork than the other games).

That being said, IF they do get an okay from Hasbro to do another Cluedo, they’re welcome to my money now as long as it’s going to be a digital take on Master Detective (the only advanced version I think could adapt well to their usual model — Super Sleuth & Super Challenge would have to be stand-alone games with no easy road to additional monetizing).

Or, as they’ve done 2x now for Life, if they want to design their own digital-only version of Clue/do, that will also be amazing (because it’s almost guaranteed to be more innovative than anything Hasbro would design on their own).
"But look what happened to the cook!"

I do think another Clue app should be a throwback to other Clue spin offs like Discover the Secrets, Guess Who, Card Game, DVD, FX, Mysteries, Great Museum Caper, Junior, Master Detective, Super Slueth, etc
