Oh interesting. The Rope and the meat are actually hanging up against the back wall, and the table is extending into the foreground. I did this because of the odd shape of the Rope. It's not hanging organically, and it needs something "in the way" to make it curve the way it does. This is why the sausage now touches it on the left side, and why the noose is resting ever so slightly against the cheese wheel below it. But I need to keep tinkering with the card regardless. I like the concept, but it might need a re-do with better stock photos.

In the meantime, I was able to re-purpose my old Horseshoe card into the Revolver card, so this one took almost no time at all!

Oh, well in that case my bad! I'll be honest I'm just noticing the baton is gone and they are hooked onto the wall.

The Revolver looks great! I love the mounted-gun angle. The Revolver in the desk drawer just doesn't sit right anymore. It feels more accessible on the wall or on display whereas only certain people would know what drawer to find it in.

Revolver feels off scale-wise (huge compared to the diploma), and doesn't seem to angle naturally.

Hmm. I'm not sure what you mean about the angle. The picture of the token was taken at the same angle as the picture of the wall. But the diploma is actually supposed to be an auction certificate. I thought that since the Revolver is displayed, it might be nice if it was famous, or rare, or just expensive. So the certificate is framed with it.

It says Edward Boddy. Funny, my name for Mr. Boddy happens to be Edward.

Nice! It definitely has a nice ring to it. I took it from the Franklin Mint game. The Boddy family in that edition included William, George, Edward, Nigel, and Alexander. Edward was my favorite of the bunch.

Well Edward is the middle name of Boddy for me, Mr. Samuel Edward Boddy. Named after Samuel Edward Ratchett from Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Should give you a good idea of what his character is...

I get the pun. Edward Boddy or Ed Boddy (Dead Boddy)

So I did end up playing with the perspective of the Revolver after all since I think I saw what CluedoKid meant about perspective. It looked off without the larger background picture, which went beyond what's visible in the card. I also decided I'm not happy with the Rope after all, so I removed it from the lineup for the time being. Here is an updated look at all the finished weapon cards so far.

Hey everyone. Just posting a quick update. I've been struggling with the Blunderbuss and Rope cards for a few days and still don't have much progress to show. But the companion box for all the pieces is in the works, and I've finalized the design for the notepad. I was originally going to keep a more traditional looking notepad, but in looking over all the versions I own, the Cluedo Super Sleuth notepad ended up speaking to me most. I liked how small it was above anything else, but I wanted some room for written notes, so it meant sacrificing extra boxes for multiple games. Each notepad will only be good for one person and one game, but that's okay. It keeps everything I want and I don't actually expect this game to be played a ton. The woodworker drilled keyholes into the back so that I can hang the board on the wall as an art piece when it's not in use.

One question - is the notepad going to be traditional paper or is it like a dry-erase board

Traditional paper. I’m not a fan of dry-erase. Not sure if it’s the nostalgia factor, or the fact that dry-erase boards tend to smudge up over time without getting fully clean, but I prefer the old school approach.

I can see the attempt you're making with the notebook paper BUT the biggest issue is that it's just 1 and done, and with the recent style of note sheets from hasbro where most players keep track of who has what card - it might be difficult - I was doing some google searching the other day for LEGO CLUE and this note sheet cropped up, just as a pitch, couldn't you make a wooden pegboard for the notesheet?

That's an interesting concept, but I don't mind the one and done. I also enjoy using a tiny pencil for the notepad. There's a nostalgia there.

But I did redesign the pad to be a little more flexible with how players can score. I also made the text larger, since these notepads will be pretty small. And I made it a bit more colorful, since I will be purchasing a full-color pad.

Way better, for players like myself, I could get 5,6, or even 7 games out of this
But for players like BBP or Jamie, they can keep track of who has what.

Great work Whitepawn

Thanks! I'm definitely in the latter camp as well. Here is how I intend to use the notepad:

This is normally my method (but based on your game)
X - My cards
M - Mom's Cards
D - Dad's Cards
1 - A Hidden Card
Tick/Check Mark - Part of the Solution

Hey everyone. Apologies for the long silence, but I'm (finally) unpacked in my new place and able to work on my game again. The wood board has been hung up and displayed, and it looks so good hanging like a piece of art!! I've also finished all the room cards! I'm pretty happy with this set, and I'm not sure if I'll be tweaking these any more. Famous last words lol, but my next goal is to finish the weapon cards so that all the cards can finally be ordered. Once they're ordered, they'll be done haha.
