I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of Miss Peach - She looks like a cross between the Wendy's girl and a milkmaid (Though I can't really talk, Peach is a farmer in my LEGO Version) - she doesn't feel like a Southern Belle to me

Mme. Rose is perfect and I like the others

I was trying to go for that corn-fed southern gal. I think I need to tone down the bows and freckles. It's a bit too whimsical.

I'll do some editing tomorrow. As for now, enjoy the rough outlines of all 13:

Same, I used to LOVE that show, pity, that I couldn't find ALL of them.

I’m actually having issue with him. I may end up making Black into Gray and axing Black entirely in favor of Rusty for an orange shade.

Making a silhouette for Black doesnt work unless I use some form of gray — which isnt black

I like Rusty, but he does feel out of place in a mystery without any outdoor locations - If you want to go with the established characters, why not Ash the Butler?

I haven't commented yet, but I like this art style a lot, very interesting :3

I agree with the Miss Peach comments. The southern belle archetype is very different from the lowerclass interpretation you seem to be going for. A classy southern belle would fit well... although, keeping the buff build you drew here and making her a strong farmhand could also be interesting.

Hah, I ran into the exact same problem with Dr. Black in the golden goddess ^^'

I'm starting to agree and leaning towards a remake of her in sunhat and summer dress. The lowerclass look doesn't fit with the house, in the same way as Rusty doesn't fit without any outdoor locations.

I know, I'm stuck right now. I'm letting everything marinate and sit with me for a minute while I figure out the 13th suspect. I don't want another shade of Gray confusing the Sergeant. Orange is needed, but there are no cannon Orange characters aside from Rusty.

This was my initial color wheel which helped me decide the characters.

I've seen a lot of people on this forum use Ash/Ashe as a kind of Grey/Orange shade rather than the Grey

https://icolorpalette.com/download/pale ... alette.jpg

Either #554b38 or one of the ones surrounding it

(But as a VERY big stretch, there's always Max Gold)

Either way, I can't wait for the final result

I actually forgot all about her but cluefan8888 reminded me, does Lady Oakwood count as Orange?

Considering the switching color shades suspects can have at times (like Peach leaning more to a pink-ish or orange-ish tone depending on the approach, or Peacock being either dark blue or closer to cyan), I think Oakwood could work with an orange like color considering Golden Oak wood can be a bit orange-ish.
Ah, yes. Nothing quite as lovely as death.

Are the rooms fixed in place, or...?

The board would work like Super Sleuth with random tile placements. Due to the 3 long rooms, it is possible (and encouraged) to lay out the board in any shape you please.

Example:

My idea for tile placement would be a starting tile is flipped and exiting the room starts a new one. Simple enough, I think? I could add some other mechanics later but I'm trying to keep the game fairly simple.

It looks interesting and I do like the Super Sleuth game (*beep*, with this mechanic, there could be expansions to this game) - I would suggest however that there is a starting tile, one that isn't a suspected location (such as a Courtyard, Foyer, Investigation room, etc)

Perhaps a long room with six doors. I considered a 4x tile-sized room with 8 doors, but that may end up making the play area too big, as well as using the central room as a way to access a vast majority of the other rooms.

That could work, kind of similar to Betrayal at House on the Hill - starting on a large tile and branching out onto the smaller tiles.

And don't panic about the size, a lot of tabletop games nowadays are REALLY large
