Re: Clue Novel: In The Hall With The Knife

My copy of In The Study With The Wrench just arrived. I've been rereading In The Hall With The Knife to refresh myself on everything before starting the new one. I'm about 80% through my second go, so I should be getting to the new one soon enough.

Re: Clue 2011 miniseries - Hubworld.com Archives

Yes, The Hub was Hasbro’s short-lived attempt at a cable network for kids & families. I watched parts of this Clue series as it aired, eventually finishing it when the DVD was released (as a continuous movie, rather than broken into the 5 episodes). I remember thinking it was the kind of thing my y...

Re: Adult Clue Parody - “ᔕᑕᖇᗴᗯ”

That’s good that it does have double amounts of characters, it really allows you to play whatever combination you want, of male and female characters - it probably wouldn’t be hard to get more bases so you can have al characters with a base, so you wouldn’t have to worry about swapping them out. Ac...

Re: Adult Clue Parody - “ᔕᑕᖇᗴᗯ”

My copy of Sex & Intrigue arrived. No joke, some of the components are better quality than the components in the recent Clue games. I first noticed it with the cards, these cards are decent quality unlike current Clue cards. The rule sheet was crumpled up in the box like a piece of tissue, but lucki...

Re: Adult Clue Parody - “ᔕᑕᖇᗴᗯ”

I want a copy of Sex & Intrigue. $crew it, I'm going to order it right now  If $crew had all male suspects, I'd want that too. One of these adult Clue knock-off makers should release one with double the amount of suspects, male and female, so people can have straight, g ay, bi, etc playthrough...

Re: Clue 2011 miniseries - Hubworld.com Archives

Where did it premiere? On TV or online? I only heard about it from searching online for Clue like a year or two ago. Funny enough, it was pretty much what I expected in terms of quality. It's rare for my preconceived notion of a show or movie to be spot on, but that was pretty much the case with thi...

Re: Clue Card Game / Clue Suspect - played in the style of Rummy

I didn’t read the rules as being able to play cards on opponents sets, just that you could play cards on any of your own sets in play - so if you have a set of Peacocks in front of you, you could drop another 1 or 2 etc Peacock cards onto that set. I like that Clue Go Fish idea as well! Something I...

Re: Clue Card Game / Clue Suspect - played in the style of Rummy

Let's see if I get this right: -Sets are only composed of the same suspect / weapon / room. So a valid set would be Camera-Scarlett, Fingerprint-Scarlett, Hat-Scarlett or Evidence-Rope, Camera-Rope, Magnifying Glass-Rope. -Players can add to opponent's sets. This makes deciding your score after the...

Re: Clue Card Game / Clue Suspect - played in the style of Rummy

How To Play Similar to traditional Rummy, you draw card(s) to start your turn, and discard a card to end your turn. You will be gathering matching cards in your hand, trying to assemble Sets of 3 or more to put into play. However, unlike traditional Rummy, the sooner you empty your hand, the more di...

Setup Part 3 The remaining cards are placed face down in the center of the table to create the Draw Pile. Take the top card from the top of the Draw Pile and turn it face up to create the Discard Pile. 07 Faceup Evidence.jpg If the card drawn to create the Discard Pile is an Evidence Card, remove it...

Setup Part 2 Keeping all remaining Evidence Cards face down, shuffle them together with the Case File Cards. Leave The Crime Card and the cards beneath within reach of the players. 04 Shuffle.jpg Deal out cards to the players to create their Hand. The number of players will determine how many cards ...

Re: Clue Card Game / Clue Suspect - played in the style of Rummy

Setup Part 1 Remove Reminder Cards and Profile Cards. Profile Cards may be used as signifiers if players wish to take on the role of a Suspect during the game, but do not affect game play. Separate all of the Evidence Cards into 3 piles, one of Suspects, one of Weapons, and one of Rooms. 01 Separate...

Clue Card Game / Clue Suspect - played in the style of Rummy

One of my favorite card game series is Mystery Rummy, especially Mystery Rummy - Jack the Ripper (which I feel could easily be reskinned as a Clue game). While looking at my Clue Card Game, I came up with an idea to use the cards to play a new version of Rummy. I'd done something similar in the past...

Re: Clue Liar Edition Review(s)

I feel as though this would be a better version for people with shorter attention spans who might think board games are boring. I think that gets to the design philosophy behind a lot of these alternate versions of older games - making them shorter and faster to play, because their is the idea that...
