Re: Let’s Play Classic Clue #1

I am resigning this game for that I have received more information than I would have in usual Clue games which I deem unfair and dissimilar and therefore I don't want to play on anymore. I do this every time when me and someone else have different rules on a game we're playing mid-game which I see a...

Re: Let’s Play Classic Clue #1

Just so everyone knows, I may want to resign this game depending on what Jonathan will come back to me with through PMs.

Re: Let’s Play Classic Clue #1

Colonel Mustard heard everything Scarlet said. He's learnt from his time at the military that the key to solving problems where multiple people are involved is to figure out what the others know. And Scarlett seems to know a lot. Perhaps too much. "It seems clear to me that you found the wrench in t...

Re: What color best represents Mr. Boddy?

Are none of you interested in talking Cluedo strategy?
Why are you even here if that's not the case, why are you not discussing strategy in my thread?
Stop ignoring me.

Re: Talk Strategy - Example Game

Back to the example game. Hopefully people will engage in this discussion as I think it'll help us go deeper into game strategy, both mental and tactical. Chris suggests White, with the Lead Pipe in the Hall. This gets disproved by Dean. Dean then suspects Plum with the Lead Pipe, in the Library. Be...

If no one is going to discuss or argue with my proposed strategy I can assume it's a better strategy than yours?

Re: What color best represents Mr. Boddy?

I picture him in an oak brown colored suit. With leather brown shoes too. It's the perfect attire for a man of prestige without looking like dressing up fancy.

Re: Talk Strategy - Example Game

Here's a scenario I'd like to analyze to stress the point of trying to misdirect your opponents. Say you have two of the six weapon cards. After the first 'round' of play, someone showed you a weapon card. You also have formed suspicions (note: suspicions, not confirmed) on two of the other three ca...

Re: Talk Strategy - Example Game

So here's a question about what you said regarding copying suggestions: Why would you in the early game copy a card? You have 'some' information about previously asked cards, as in that someone else might have one of those. Shouldn't you first move on to cards you still know nothing about? Picking j...

Re: Let's Play Clue - Choose a Scenario

I'd prefer just the classic setup of 6-6-9. I'm not interested in a game with dozens more cards, it elongates the game and removes a lot of tactical aspects.

Re: Talk Strategy - Example Game

The first decision to be made is already a tricky one which can determine someone's playstyle for the entire game. On your first suggestion, do you suggest three cards you don't have, two cards or just one? I think we can rule out the one card because that gives the others too many info. Even if tha...

Talk Strategy - Example Game

Let's talk about Clue strategy. The way I'd like to do this is I have an example game that I play with myself, myself and myself to practice strategy. Of course I know the solution as I set the game up myself, but I want to get a better hindsight as to what strategy to adopt in different scenarios. ...

New game anyone?

So I made a comment in Clue General Thoughts thread but discussion went on without reply. Would anyone be in for a classic game of Clue? I can't find a single place to play online for free (there is a Steam game but you need to pay for it) and playing it irl is also pretty difficult. And I know one ...

Red Rum's not a palindrome.

Palindromes are words that can be spelt the same going forwards and backwards.

Like "eve". And "no melon, no lemon".
That would still make my palindrome valid, Mr. Smartypants.

Re: Clue Current Thoughts

Hey. Been here on the site for a short while (and with short, I mean like one week).
I'd be very interested in playing a classic Cluedo game here as it seems that there isn't a single place on the whole dam internet to play Cluedo online for free.
When will the next game be?

Re: ClueMafia - A New Concept (SIGN-UPS!)

Unfortunately I haven't received any further sign-up PM's, so I see no better option but to put this game on a pause for indeterminate time.
I hope for the four people that already entered that this isn't too big of a deal, but sadly four players is not enough for this game.

Huge thanks to chaosemerald, Miss Amelia Peach, BBP and Sir Shamrock for signing up! However, for the game to start, we are still waiting for at least one more person to sign up to the game. If you haven't done so already and would like to participate, please join the frenzy!
