Re: TAoM Invasion of the Spambots
I wouldn't be surprised if TAOM is being targeted because someone wants the domain name.

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
Found out that Lilac is a real last name...

So, I now have the last two men named.
Mr. Lilac
Rev. Snow
Now finishing up the photos.
And I'm considering changing the photo for Miss Ruby.
Almost done.

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
Thanks, DgNoah. I was going to make Nurse Tanner be Nurse Whitehead, but I couldn't fit the name on her card. So, instead I used the name on a card with an image of Angela Lansbury from Death on the Nile. I might be able to use Mlle, but I think she's dressed a bit to gaudy for any professional soun...

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
Thanks, Sir Shamrock. I decided to raise it to 60 Suspects in the Pool. So far, I've added: Lady Primrose Mrs. Opal Dr. Rouge (changing to Dr. Burgundy; will use Rouge later) Mr. Rivers Mr. Blackburn Miss Olive Madam Pearl Amber Fields I couldn't find a good quality image of Tim Curry from Clue, so ...

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
I believe if there's a color in it, it will probably work. You can even go as far as "Franklin Mint" lol All in all, these are turning out pretty well. The Yvette card was a nice touch. Very clever using the existing photos for the characters needed. If need be there's probably photos of Didit and ...

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
I thought about making the Suspects Pool 40 cards even. http://www.theartofmurder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5254 If you ever need ideas :P Thanks! That will help! Don't know if you noticed, but I added Yvette as Miss Black. I was wondering... Rusty Nayler seems to be the only one that I did th...

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
Thanks, guys! I haven't had a chance to playtest it, though. The reasoning behind the design/gameplay: 1. The 1972 edition has always been a favorite of mine. Mostly because of the photography style and the more mature cast. If you've seen the Two-Minute Mysteries books by Donald J. Sobol, the cover...

How to play: 1. Have the players choose a character from the Suspect cards. Set those cards by the players. 2. Shuffle the Suspect deck and draw one. This is the Victim. Set this card aside. 3. Shuffle the Locations deck and draw one. This is where the Victim's body is. Set this card aside with the ...

Re: Custom Clue Game Ideas
I've been playing with Tabletop Simulator and I made a variant Clue version that takes the layout of Master Detective (with some alterations), uses the art style of the 1972 Clue and adds Motives to the deductions. I searched the web for a clean version of the Master Detective board and I think I ac...

Re: Marmalade Game Studio's Clue(do)
I finally got the Season Pass during the Summer Sale.
I know it's not really necessary to have all the characters and the themes, but it does help keep the game feel fresh by changing the scenery every now and then.
And I want to support the game, as deduction games are few and far between these days.

I love it. And it gives me a game to rotate with Clue to avoid burn out. They had an update a couple months ago that added another character to the pool, bringing the number of possible suspects to 16. Thanks for mentioning Sleuth. I looked it up and found it at the Internet Archive. Will check it o...

Thanks, Murder by Death!

I'll add that I liked it so much, I bought it on Steam, as well.
It's truly a hidden gem, IMO.
