Ah. Well of course there's the god-awful artoon from Mysteries; obviously redone from whatever they had in mind in order to fit with the description they needed. It's sooo frustrating because Miss Peach is the best additional character (IMO) and the only that didn't get a proper suspect card from that era...

Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
Now let’s get the elephant out of the room...The 1980 play by Robert Duncan.
A lot of elements from the play are ripped into the games.
The Play: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49uZu ... p=drivesdk
1. Miss Scarlett is Mrs. Peacock’s daughter.
2. Green is an American.
3. John Boddy (Dr. Black) is an anthropologist.
4. It takes place in Hampshire, England during the 20s (1925).
5. Mustard was a part of the Hampshire Tigers.
6. Plum’s an archeologist in Eygpt.
7. Sir Hugh dies by drowning.
8. John’s parents are gone.
9. Lord Grey, Prince Azure, Rusty Nayler, and the Meadow-Brooks are mentioned.

WHAAAAAAT????? I had no idea this even existed! Was he credited in any of the game credits?! This is amazing (if it's real... where did you get it?)
Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
Ah, apparently the play WAS written in 1980 by Robert Duncan...
But updated in the early 2000s to reflect new character development. He apparently confirmed this with one of our members about half-way down in this discussion: http://www.theartofmurder.com/forums/vi ... 8&start=20

Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
AlwaysPeacock got a copy from the original playwright.
Michael did a page on it here: http://theartofmurder.com/stage_screen.html
Also Cluedofan.com did one: https://www.cluedofan.com/

Yes, but AlwaysPeacock said that it was edited after the release of the 2000 games to reflect the then-current Clue lore.

Some fun I had editing Lord Grey's head onto his "bib" from the Cluedo Party game... It's not amazing but it's better than just the head!

What other suspects are in Cluedo Party?

Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
The classic 6, Lady Lavender, and Lord Grey. I wish it had been Miss Peach instead of Lavender, but then that would have contradicted the Clue Mysteries game in which Peach is a “newcomer to England”.

Yes do it! You won't regret it
However seeing this raises an interesting question, is Clue Jr. canon? And if so, does it take place right before Clue?

Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
I suppose it could be anytime after all 6 guests arrived... It's not a particularly interesting story to me... Unless Boddy was murdered because he found out who ate the chocolate cake!!!

That's a great Lord Gray ! Very gooood work ! Do you think of making others more?Elrond wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 5:47 pmDun dun DUN! Here you go!
I don't think Miss Peach or Lord Gray were ever intended for the DVD game - the only thing that points in the opposite direction is Miss Peach's artwork on the mock-up of the box, but that could just be random as it seems like the designers didn't know much about what the game was.

Scarlet - Mustard - Green - Peacock - Peach - Plum - Rose - Brunette
White - Grey - Orchid - Azure - Lavender - Rusty - Meadow-Brook - Gray
Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
Unfortunately all I did was combine the art for Lord Gray found in the CluedoParty game (a head and shirt). I so wish I could do this for Miss Peach, but you can see my very bad attempt in another thread... 🥴ColonelMoutarde wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 3:22 pmThat's a great Lord Gray ! Very gooood work ! Re: CLUE RETROSPECTIVE - 2000s games
Do you guys think the 2008 computer game Clue Classic belongs on the list since it offers aspects of the story through the eyes of Inspector Brown?
