The scene in the Dining Room where Colonel Mustard tells Mrs. Peacock about the book. Mrs. White was also in the room. (But White's profile has some kind of a clue as well)

Nope.
In the scene in the lounge, the victim tells about her new book set in Italy. The main character is Bianca Colpevole, which translated from Italian means White Guilty 😀

Never would have gotten that in a million years - but it didn't matter, Mrs. White was my prime suspect anyway.

My Sims game isn't working, so this series hopefully will only be postponed for a bit until I work out how to fix it.

Unfortunately my Sims seems to be dead. I have trawled the internet for possible solutions, but without success. I can load the game fine, but as soon as I try to create a family, the graphics play up. And if I try to enter a lot the game crashes. I have uninstalled everything and re-installed it without any of my saved lots or sims or custom content, but it still crashes. So sadly I have to cancel my Sims series :(

Yep, that rates pretty high on the thatsucks-o-meter.
Would anyone be interested in playing them as a guessing game, with basic background info about motives and weapon location? I couldn't do the story without pics, as there were clues hidden in the photos that would be ruined by explicitly saying them in a text only story.
So would anyone want to play - seems a shame to waste the work.

Can't we do it with just the story or are there important visual clues?

There were visual clues in the pics, yes, so it wouldn't really work.
E.g With a pic I could move a weapon, but not comment on it, but in a text story I would have to mention it which would ruin it.

AHA!
Thanks to the Windows 10 update, my Sims seems to work again :D , but only in a really annoying windowed mode. And some of my content doesn't work, but it works....and touch wood...the murderous mayhem will be back up and running again soon.

Very nice but I'll be honest. Not a fan of there being two gardens but apart from that, everything is fine.
