Character Biographies

Dr David Black (deceased) – Wealthy art collector, anthropologist, blackmailer, recluse, whose hunting partner was…

Colonel James Mustard – A greatly respected army man until he was kicked out when an operation went badly wrong. Shamed, he returned to the village where he grew up. He knew all about Black's illegal activities and became the Doctor's hired muscle if any clients needed a bit of persuasion. Since his death, he has taken on the same role for…

Reverend Stephen Green – the parish vicar until a huge scandal led to him being defrocked. He has since continued his misdemeanors and has become a loan shark and bookmaker, and is not someone you want to get on the wrong side of. He is surprisingly protective of…

Miss Anna Peach – Claims to be Doctor Black's daughter, and on the surface appears to be rather sweet and innocent, but the truth is that she is manipulative and scheming. Her claims have yet to be proven one way or the other. She works as a teaching assistant and is dating…

M. Luc Brunette – Con artist and fraudulent art dealer, which is where he met Doctor Black years ago as a young boy. Not much is known about him, and that’s just the way he likes it, although one rumor in the village was that his mother is none other than…

Mrs Mary White – Black's former housekeeper who he was blackmailing into working for him for nothing. Under the terms of Black's will, she has been kept on by Peacock who now pays her at least. Over the years she has become really good at spying through keyholes and eavesdropping. Her only true friend in the village is…

Professor Simon Plum - an absent minded individual, who is extremely intelligent and a member of MENSA. He is a lecturer and published author in the fields of art and archaeology, which is how he knew Dr Black. He hides it well, but has feelings for…

Mrs Virginia Peacock – Dr Black's sister is a social climbing busybody, who is currently single after her previous two husbands both died. She was Black’s bridge partner, and inherited half of Tudor Close upon his death. She didn't need it as she had her own house but wasn't going to let it fall into the hands of...

Miss Katherine Scarlett – Dr Black's latest squeeze at the time of his death. She worked for an escort agency which is how they met. When her lover died she inherited half of Tudor Close along with Mrs Peacock. She has an intense rivalry with…

Madame Marguerite Rose – who claims to be an old flame of Black’s. Born to a French mother who she claims to have inherited psychic powers from. She also has an uncanny knack of predicting death, so don't ask her for a tarot reading. She is greatly concerned about environmental issues, and hides the fact she is bisexual, as does...

Mr Sebastian Slate-Grey - a former policeman like his father, he was under the pay of Black to turn the other cheek with certain 'business' activities. When this came out, he was kicked out of the force, and now works as a private detective.

I really like Miss Peach and Professor Plum with the Sigmund Freud beard. Brunette's a bit meh, but it could work depending on who he's supposed to be in this. I'd only change Mrs. Peacock. That jacket is clearly an olive tone.
Stop winking at me, you oversexed Frenchman!

EPISODE 1 - Who Killed Dr Black?.

You are invited to a murder.

Fans of the Lady Cressida Bergman series of mystery novels will be sad to hear that there will be no more books featuring the elderly sleuth, as the author of the novels was murdered at the Grange, in a mystery worthy of one of her books.

But where did she meet her end?
Was it in the Lounge, the Dining Room, the Billiard Room, the Library, the Study or the Hall?

Image

And we know that one of these eight weapons was used.
Was it the Rifle, the Dagger, the Funeral Urn, the Rosary, the Cyanide or the Statuette?

Image

And who committed the evil deed?
Was it Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Mrs White or Miss Scarlett?

We join the events leading up to the murder…

OUTSIDE TUDOR CLOSE - 1.45pm

Professor Plum is showing his good friend, author Isabella Di Rossi to the front door of the house.
'Oh, Simon I cant believe I've broken my rosary.'
'Come on in Isabella, I'll mend it later, everyone is waiting.'

Image

LOUNGE - 1.50pm

In the Lounge, everyone is sat awaiting the arrival of their guest. Professor Plum says that she had to go to the ladies room.

Image

LIBRARY - 1.50pm

After Plum has left her, Isabella gets a small blue bottle from her pocket and places it on the floor.

Image

LOUNGE - 1.55pm

Once Isabella has entered she greets them all before showing them the first print of her forthcoming new book, 'Murder In Plain Sight' and reading the back cover.

'Bianca Colpevole is just nineteen and has moved from the sleepy Tuscan countryside to the city of Rome. She is delighted when she gets her first job as secretary to an important businessman. But that delight turns to terror when she discovers him dead one summer morning. Finding herself being accused of the murder, she sets out to prove her innocence, a decision that will put her in great danger.'

'Bravo Isabella, it sounds like another bestseller!' says Peacock applauding politely.
'No Cressida Bergman?' asks Mrs White disappointedly.
'No, the old lady couldn't feature in this one, as it is set in Rome and as all the fans will know, Lady Cressida is afraid of flying.'
'Very good' says Peacock, 'Simon, why don’t you show Isabella my library, and maybe she would sign anything of hers that she finds in there?'
'Of course I'd be happy to,' replies Plum.
'As would I' says Isabella.

Image

'Why did’t you show her round, Virginia?' asks Green when they have left.
'Because I have something more important to do.'

LIBRARY - 2.10pm

In the Library, Plum is giving Isabella the guided tour.

Image

STUDY - 2.10pm

Image

Mrs Peacock is sat reading in her study when Colonel Mustard enters.
'What are you reading Virginia?' he asks.
'Isabella's new book. I thought I recognised something.'
'What?'
'It seems that the whole plot of this book is based on the murder of my brother, David Black.'
'Are you serious?'
'I'm afraid so, would you help me James? And read this book for me. You can speed read can't you?'
'I certainly can, leave it with me.'

Image

BILLIARD ROOM - 2.25pm

Miss Scarlett is alone in the billiard room when Isabella enters.

Image

'Not coming to hear about my new book?' asks Isabella.
'It doesn't interest me in the slightest.'
'No darling. you're right. we're not from the same literary circles. I did attempt to read a chapter or two of that trashy tell all book of your call girl exploits.
I mean who wants to read about the bedroom antics of some cheap *beep*?'

Image

'How dare you? I'll have you know it did very well thank you.'
'Frustrated housewives will read any old trash darling.'
'You think you're so special don't you.'
'Well I have sold thousands of copies and won the Golden dagger award for mystery novels twice.
'Well you know where you can stick your award don't you.'

STUDY - 2.30pm

Colonel Mustard is studying the book when Reverend Green enters. Seeing his puzzled expression, Mustard reveals what he is doing.
'And is Virginia right?' asks Green.
'I'm afraid so, it seems that this is indeed based on Black's murder. I had better go and tell her.'
Reverend Green stays and looks toward the Funeral Urn on the side.

Image

DINING ROOM - 2.35pm

Mrs Peacock is sat at the table, while Mrs White is nearby cleaning. They both look up when Mustard enters hurriedly.
'Oh Virginia, thank goodness there you are.'
'James, what on earth is the matter?'
'You were right, her book I mean, I've only got halfway but it echoes all the facts of the death of your brother.'
'Gather everyone in the Library, will you? And ask Isabella to join us.'

Image

LIBRARY - 2.40pm

Everyone is sat waiting in the Library, with Mrs Peacock pacing up and down.

Image

'I cant find my book', says Isabella, entering the Library, before Peacock interrupts her.
'Before you start Isabella, I feel I must say that we are all very disappointed in you. We know that your book is just the story of my brother's murder.
What were you hoping to achieve? Do you understand how upsetting it is that you are bringing all this up again?
We were all devastated by his death, and the fact that it was never solved. I want you out of this house. Now.'

Image

Did you know about this Simon?' she continues.
'No…no Virginia this is all news to me,' replies Plum.
'If I may speak Mrs Peacock', interjects Isabella. 'Yes I did realise that this would bring back painful memories, but I thought that it would make things better.'
'How on earth could it do that?'
'Because I know who killed your brother. And I was going to show you how it was done.' Stunned gasps fills the room. 'But if you want me to leave I will, you can all wait and find out the answer when the book gets published.'
She sweeps out from the room leaving the others shocked.

3.00pm

'Help, someone' cries Plum. 'It's Isabella, she's dead'.

Now it's over to you, the detectives.
In round one, each detective will ask a question to a suspect alternately.
Each suspect may only be asked one question in this round.
As he signed up first, Black will ask the first question.

I'm afraid that when I realised that the book was based on Black's murder, I hurried to tell Virginia and didn't get to the end. Sorry.

Now over to CluedoAuthor for your question.

No I didn't, and I would have liked to as I am a great fan of her work. And all I knew about the contents were what I overheard others saying.

Black, your final question please.

After that horrible woman left, I stayed in the Billiard Room until James came and asked me to meet with everyone in the Library. After that I spoke with Mrs White in the Lounge and then I went to my room until we heard about her death.

CluedoAuthor, the last question of the round to the Reverend please.
