Green - "If he was such a patriotic American, why didn't he just report us to the authorities?"
Wadsworth - "He decided to put his information to good use and make a little money out of it. What can be more American than that?"

What a bunch of jackasses, if 2012 is going to be the last year on earth, then those bastards at Hasbro will not be able to f**k up clue/do any more.

What a horrible concept ... how do you even play it?

Mkay, so how is this different from any other battle with, say, Nerf guns? The mind boggles at the concept's sheer stupidity.

ME: "Hey mom wanna play the new Clue game?"
MOM: "Okay! I want to be Mrs. White like I always am."
ME: "Well that's a shame since Mrs. White and Professor Plum don't have guns!"
MOM: "Guns? I thought there was only one and it was the Revolver?"
ME: "Nope, Hasbro came up with this WONDERFUL idea where you chase each other around with little nerf guns and see who wants to murder you!"
MOM: " :? "
ME: "I know...."

Hmmm... There's one thing I don't understand.

One thing?!

Mrs. Peacock was a Man?!
How do you know what kind of pictures they are if you're such a lay-dee?

I'm obviously in the minority, and I don't think that this is the direction that Clue should go in, but come on, how would it be to have a Nerf battle with a purpose? I've enjoyed the few all out warfares I've had, although those involved more forts and stuff. I realize I sound like a kid, but there's nothing quite like moving all the furniture and shooting your roommates (which, should be pointed out, we only bought Nerf guns because we were told we weren't allowed to have them on the Disney College Program). I would definitely play this game. Bummer that there are only four guns, but I don't see "House of White" being politically accepted...

Actually, Niteshade, I kind of agree with you. I think this sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

It's just, you know... not Clue.

I agree with nightshade and Cmustard.

It ain't clue, but I've always wanted to play assassins and I don't think I'd mind being house of Green =)

But as far as Im concerned it ain't clue and Hasbro better bring back the good old Clue game!

Glad I'm not alone. Like we've all said, this isn't what Clue SHOULD be, and it certainly doesn't seem better than a version of the classic game with new artwork, but I can't say this doesn't sound fun.

Hasbro could be having trouble selling both Nerf and Clue products so maybe they are combining the two.

Reading the linked article, it occurred to me that this could be a very Clue-like game...depending on how it's used.

It doesn't sound like much on its own, but if you combined it with another event, like a game night or something, it could be quite fun. Imagine: you have some people over, and as they arrive, you hand them an envelope with a gun and a mission card and an explanation of the rules. Then, throughout the night, everyone's wary of everyone else - a simple request to help get some stuff from the kitchen would be treated with suspicion; do they really need help, or are they about to kill me? And all the while, the other players are suspicious as well, because if that person does decide to leave, they might be left alone in the living room with someone who might be out to get them.

Basically, it doesn't resemble a Clue game very much, but helps to create a Clue-like atmosphere, which I think is neat.
