Because it's overrated and too popular for its own good.

I just don't understand! Why do you love Monopoly?
Oh, it's England. Croquet on the lawn, tea in silver teapots, sherry before dinner. One simply has to maintain one's standards!

Bad Clue!

Post by Lord Caspen » Wed Feb 08, 2006 5:37 pm

Rocky Horror Clue (tm)!

Way to ruin two perfectly good individual concepts!

Who killed Dr. Frank N Furter? Magenta, Columbia, Miss Weiss, Mr. Majors, Dr. Scott, Eddie, Rocky, or Riffraff? In the Lab, the Ballroom, Rocky's Room, the Auditorium (or whatever you'd call the room with the floor show), er ... etc. etc.

With the chainsaw ... or the ... motorcycle ... or the wheelchair, or the ... the Time Warp (tm), the Sonic Transducer (tm), or ... Dr. Frank's purse?

That's why? Oh well, I've always liked the game. I can't say I'm in love with it, but it's still one of my favorite board games.

Clue Guess Who!

Talk about redundant...
"Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"
"You don't need any help from me, sir."
"That's right!"

It's okay if you play it once every 6 months

It's CLUE for TODDLERS! This soft, padded CLUE toy is a great way to introduce the little ones to the world of CLUE. Includes Suspect flash-cards, inflatable board for playing in, and teething weapons.

I believe it's size envy Jay...there are 2,344,798 licensed editions of Monopoly, and only 5 licensed editons of Clue. So it stands to reason that hard core Clue fans could be a little green (rev.) with envy ^_^

Monopoly is a classic game, but it's been licensed to death. I decided to collect all 7 of the vintage "book" board games series (Target exclusive), and I bought the Monopoly one last night. Next up? Scrabble and Risk!

I think, mostly, it's the game resolution that matters most. In clue, you win when you solve a murder. It leaves you with a feeling of satisfaction. Monopoly NEVER ENDS!! You just keep circling that board for eternity or until you hate all the other players so much you fling the board across the room, scattering those stupid plastic houses everywhere and days later when you think you've picked them all back up, you'll step on one with a bare foot.

Monopoly does end! You just have to run everyone else bankrupt! How long this takes depends on various factors. I can't say that I've ever played an endless Monopoly game, grown a hatred for the other players, flung the board across the room, or stepped on a house or hotel! Envy could be possible for certain people. Though Clue is my favorite board game, I can't say I've ever been envious of any others. But oh well, I seem to be the only one here who likes Monopoly, so why should I keep bringing it up?
