I agree that things made more sense in the musical, which is why I like it better. And I'll be starting Huck Finn this weekend. I haven't read Tom Sawyer, so I hope it's not necessary to read first. But I own Tom Sawyer and Tom Sawyer Abroad as well, so I'll be getting to them eventually. (I wish I ...

I didn't like Wicked either. But the musical was good!

Clue t-shirts

http://search.80stees.com/?q=clue&search=1

My brother's friend found this and sent it to him, which he then passed on to me. There are seven different shirts and they're pretty cool. And fairly cheap.

I've found it helps to set a deadline (which is why I chose to do one a week in the first place) and then plan to read x amount of pages a day. And then if I don't reach my quota for the day I try to make it up the next day.

I decided to read 52 books back in September. I'm basically on schedule so far, though I'm going to start reading books that are a little more complex than what I've been reading so far.

I think instead of Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd should be Colonel Mustard.

And I really like the retro space idea.

I think it's one of the best versions, too. And for the record, my first Clue is the 86 version. (Well, that and Clue II: Murder in Disguise and Clue: Great Museum Caper...I don't remember having any particular one before the others).

I'm not sure I understand...there have been two Disney versions of Clue already and they've been pretty well received.

I live in Mississippi and we also get hurricane days, but I highly disagree that they're just as good. Unless it's like a blizzard, you can go out and play in the snow during your day off. During a hurricane, you're stuck inside your house and since the power's probably off, you're just bored all da...

Disney Documentary on TCM

Did anyone see this tonight? It was about Disney's early live action movies. Anyway, Lesley Ann Warren was interviewed for it because she was in The Happiest Millionaire; I think she's had some work done because she was looking better in this than she was in Clue, and that was over 20 years ago.

Re: Brian

As for crushes ... How long must an attraction remain present/on one's mind, before it qualifies? Is a crush exclusive -- where you can have only one at a time, because you would forsake all others? In my opinion, it's not. I think a crush is just a vague feeling of "Yeah, I kinda dig this person a...

That's probably on purpose then. It's like doing Romeo and Juliet but switching all the genders or doing Othello but switching everyone's skin color or changing the setting of the story.

Julie Taymor is making a film version of The Tempest and also changed Prospero into Prospera. It's a little odd, but I've never seen anything by her I didn't like, so I trust her.

I disagree. The only song I liked was the song "In America". Actually, that was the only part of the movie I liked at all.

That was the most pointless scene, and it took away from the tragic feeling of the play. I (and the rest of my "Shakespeare and Film" class) think that it actually adds to the tragedy. It's not like she just sprang up all of a sudden, she was stirring for quite a while and even opened her eyes well...

This obviously doesn't apply to all of them, but I think in many cases it's not that they don't like to read, it's just that they don't have time to read. Between school, work, homework, spending time with family, hanging out with friends, and any extracurriculars (just to provide examples), there's...
