They did use state-of-the-art technology, I never said they didn't. And they didn't have Jar Jar, but they had C-3P0, who's just as bad. Also, Ewoks. Also, a droid that looks like a fast food garbage can. For every good thing about the Original Trilogy, I can list something bad, and vice-versa for t...

The original trilogy is almost as bad, we just don't realize it because we grew up with them. The only absolutely great Star Wars movie is the Empire Strikes Back, because Lucas had little to nothing to do with it. Any Star Wars movie he writes is just ok, and if he directs it, it's even worse. Case...

It's not "this room has been cleaned", it's "this room is clean". Meaning nothing happened there. It's like on cop shows when they say "He's clean; let him go". It's a subtle but important difference.

Re: Eh

If it doesn't get made, it'll be because board gaming is getting to be such a smallish hobby and Clue in particular is probably falling off. Actually, the recession is causing boardgames to make a comeback. And the thing is, Hasbro ultimately has no say in the final product of any movie based on on...

I highly doubt that if a new movie's coming that it'll be based on the new game. They can mess with the boardgame all they want and people won't care that much because they can always buy an old version. But people will care a lot more if it were a movie. And it would bomb, because it'd be Clue in n...

But you can. With Murder at Boddy Mansion (and Clue Classic, too? I don't know, I haven't played it). So everyone wins.

It looks like it might even be made by the same company. But this one comes with 6 classic games, so it's arguably better.

The second one is one of the worst. It's basically the first one all over again. It's not until #3 that the books starts getting noticably darker and more complex.

When I was adapting a Clue game I created into a non-Clue version, the solution I came up with was to have the first floor and second floor as depicted being only a portion of the entire floor, thereby giving the illusion of floors similar in size to real mansions. This had the added bonus of allowi...

Megaupload isn't that confusing once you figure it out. All you have to do is find the place around the middle of the screen that says something like "Type XXX here" and then you type it and it downloads the thing.

Oh, you can definitely kill someone with anything. But there's a question of efficiency.

I don't mind the racket so much, because any sufficiently long item can be used to strange someone. And I understand the horseshoe is reminiscent of Master Detective (I wouldn't say an homage, necessarily, because I don't think Hasbro is that sentimental), but I didn't like it there, either. How do ...

I agree with the lack of the door in the Dining Room, and I always imagined that instead of being shot, Dr. Black was bludgeoned with the Revolver; that still doesn't really explain the Rope or Knife, though. And despite generally liking the 2002 Clue and all of its spin-offs, I have a problem with ...

I believe the Hampshire Tigers and war buddies w/Black elements were touched on in the CLUE Mysteries books. And why he would bother revising it, I don't know, since Hasbro won't give permission for any performances. But the Clue Mysteries books were written in 2003 and later, so they obviously got...

So do I. I didn't mean to imply that that's how I felt; I meant that that's how it seems most people on this forum feel. Some of the games have some problems, sure, and could definitely be better, but I don't think there's ever been a Clue game where I was like, "This game sucks, I'm never playing i...

I only read the first few pages and then skimmed through the rest, but it did seem to have an awful lot in common with 2002 Clue and Clue F/X. Perhaps he revised it after those games came out? I thought it was weird that he would've made Green an American, unless he was just basing it on the games; ...

Well that's understandable, but if they made an all-female version of Clue, I would prefer if it didn't imply that there was only one acceptable way for women to look. But that's just me.
