Re: How do you imagine Mr. Boddy/Dr. Black?

You know I always wonder how the characters first reacted to Boddy's name. Green, age 12: "My name is Giovanni Green." Boddy, age 13: "Mine's John Boddy." Green: "Boddy? Like a human body? Boddy: "Yes, with an extra D. I've been told it means messenger of peace or something." Green: "Who told you th...

Re: How do you imagine Mr. Boddy/Dr. Black?

Mine's a mix of Reginald Boddy (A.E. Parker books) and John Boddy (2000s games) "John Boddy" wouldn't have the middle name of "Brown", would it? (NOTE: " John Brown's body lies a-moldering in the grave But his soul goes marching on " was from an old song.) No, but the Boddy from VCR is named John Q...

I tend to think in those terms too, as in the 2003-2007 games.

How do you imagine Mr. Boddy/Dr. Black?

How do you imagine the victims from Clue.

I see Mr. Boddy as a generous, kind-hearted, yet naive man.

Dr. Black, on the other hand, is a cold-hearted, greedy man. He's also Boddy's uncle, Sir Hugh.

Re: Clue(do) Rules: Any "House Rules" or other variations when you play?

A little story: two years ago, around Christmas, a now ex boyfriend of my sister's was visiting us. We decided to play Clue. A few rounds later, my older cousin makes an final guess, and gets it wrong. Now my sister ex's kept telling my cousin he didn't have cards he asked for, when he did, and my s...

Re: Clue(do) Rules: Any "House Rules" or other variations when you play?

Agreed. This is part of the strategy in Clue - to zero in on gathering exact pieces of evidence from specific people. I mean showing the same card to the same player. Say I have Peacock and Knife, and someone makes a suggestion with Peacock, I’ll show them Peacock. After one round the same player m...

Re: Clue(do) Rules: Any "House Rules" or other variations when you play?

This more of a "House Rule", so we don't feel cheated out. Actually, that's one rule I don't feel is necessary. If people are silly enough to ask about something they may already have been told, it shouldn't be another player's responsibility to tell them they already knew it. If a person already k...

Re: New Year, Cheaper Clue

I just noticed something else annoying: while they may have dropped the "New Suspects" label from the box graphics, it looks like they still have the old version of the game board pictured on the box: https://i67.servimg.com/u/f67/18/91/37/14/7-d62110.jpg Yeah, I know it's cheaper (sorry, " more co...

There's some episodes on YouTube, but they are of questionable quality.
There’s a Facebook group with more episodes

Re: Deviant Art

Yeah the new layout "Eclipse" has met a lot of negative criticism... If you are logged in you can still opt to see the site with the old DeviantGreen theme. Works tons better. I personally prefer the new dark theme over the bright one, at least it still has green in it. It's more the functionality ...

Re: Interview with Rob Daviau (ClueDVD)

I wish we could find someone from the Clue CD rom game from the 90s. It ended on a cliffhanger and I believe there were supposed to be 2 more. It irks me to no end to not know how the story was supposed to end! I’ll try to contact Glennis, she was a producer on the game and Scarlett’s voice actress...

Re: Best Green Actor

This is a lot like Peacock, I think that Mr. Green and Rev. Green are VERY different characters. But going to basics and picking rev. I had to pick Richard Wilson. My favorite Mr. Green is clue the movie though lol Agreed as well about Mr Green and Reverend Green being very different characters - M...

I guess the movie version as I haven’t seen the CD-I version and so can’t really comment on that version of Mr Boddy
Here’s a few clips from the CD-i game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeD8FVi8gL0
Personally I see Angus (Boddy’s actor) more who Dr. Black/Sir Hugh Black would be.
