Re: Non-Clue Board Games

I have a handful of games that are clearly inspired from Clue:
Kill Doctor Lucky (in connection with Save Doctor Lucky)
Alibi
Blood Mansion
13 Dead End Drive

And other games with similar themes:
Chronicles of Crime
Hoax
Mystery Rummy Jack the Ripper
Mafia/Werewolf
Mystery Mansion

Re: Toilet Paper

The horrible thing about this behaviour is that it is catching. I went to the supermarket once coming home from work (been working home since the 14th so it's been a while) when they had potatoes really cheap, and they'd run out. I wanted to buy baking goods because my birthday is rolling up and I ...

Re: The Ghost of Mrs White

Same here. That and flour. I wasn't aware that flour was that hard to find, but then again I haven't looked for any in a while. I have heard eggs can be an issue, and I've also read about people having problems finding disposal diapers in some places. The issues I've had (aside from toilet paper, h...

Thankfully we haven't run out. But again we only have one sizable pack, not a stockpile of it.

Re: The Ghost of Mrs White

Amazon is currently sold out. I mean I'd say it makes sense in the midst of a pandemic; board games don't take priority. So I'll just have to wait it out.

The orange one comes from Clue Mysteries. They just need to put out a brown one!
Oh, I guess I do have it an just forgot since I haven't gone through the components of that game in years.

Re: Clue(do) Rules: Any "House Rules" or other variations when you play?

You'll have to test it and see how it works! If I get a chance, I might try and play it with that variant as well and give you some feedback :D We're having another game night on Tuesday. I'm torn between teaching everyone games that they haven't played before and testing this idea I have. I'm half...

Re: The Ghost of Mrs White

Looking at an old thread on here about the Magic Mirror edition that came out recently, it looks like the White mini-figure they used actually would have been pretty comparable to the mini-figures of the new designs: Nice work Sir Shamrock! Thanks BBP! When comparing the 2002 figures with the Orchi...

INSPECTOR BROWN
Name: Inspector Winfield Brown
Date of Birth: 31st October 1884

Winfield may be spelled slightly different from Winifred, but also being born on Halloween, I mean I just couldn't resist

Re: Clue(do) Rules: Any "House Rules" or other variations when you play?

I've read a few variants on BGG and wanted to come up with some of my own. I use a common strategy of deducing who has what cards, especially when playing on the app because it's just so much easier to do, but I thought about testing out a variant to ruin that strategy. My idea that I want to test i...

Re: Clue(do) Rules: Any "House Rules" or other variations when you play?

How do people determine who gets which character to play and who begins the game? I know there's a rule of taking the piece closest to where you are sitting and then having Miss Scarlet(t) begin the game, but do you ever do it differently? Does anybody prefer to let people ask for which ever charac...

There seem to be several threads with the term "Mansion" in the title.
Maybe you're thinking of one of those?
Nope

Found a decent price for it on ebay and ordered it (as well as Clue The Card Game from the early 2000's, which I've wanted for over a decade).

Re: Is reading fiction novels a waste of time?

I'm developing a fictional novel, so no, they're not a waste of time in my opinion. 9 times out of 10 movie adaptations of novels just aren't as good as the source material.
